I like the idea of it, I like Tarek's smart ass comments to his ex and how she comes back at him and neither take it personally, it's just fun. What I did not like was the time element of each competition. It isn't good to do one room at a time for one, I've tried that and I end up with sheet rock dust covering rooms I've already completed, etc... and having to get certain things done at the same time as the other couple leads to some shoddy craftsmanship and unfinished areas. Like the entertainment area that was delayed due to the hurricane. The delay was fine, they could have worked on other projects in other rooms until that came in, but instead they just had to finish by a certain day for the competition, I am glad they did eventually do it though. I just wanted to see the whole process and who won at the end, not this rush for each room and then things not done and shoddy work. Also the money spent was outrageous, which was due to the room by room competition and each trying to outdo the other. I really like Flipping Vegas better because she was so good at bargain hunting. I wish they had more bargain hunting for really cool unique things or older used things, instead of blowing wild amounts of money on all new stuff. I liked who they picked for judges though. I do hope they bring this back for a second season but just go on ROI, keep the drama of a way too quick deadline out of the equation, do it right, stay under budget and get creative. No pranks for the drama, just a good fair competition.
