While the superficial storyline here employs identity theft and real estate sales scamming, the underlying theme from Lifetime is a single, attractive woman not only being scammed financially, but also (read the title of the movie).
If you watch Hallmark, you will readily know Christopher Russell as always playing a Hallmark nice guy. For some reason, when he picks up a role somewhere else, he is cast as the sinister heavy. Naturally, here he is the latter in the titular role,. Although he is cast for the first 80% of the movie as charming, you know from the title the shoe is going to drop eventually....and it does.
The female lead plays her role competently and believably. She goes from victim to survivor. From vulnerability to heroine.
I can't find fault with the acting, but the generally depressing story was not entertains for me.
