Before becoming its own IP, Intergalactic was originally developed as a potential Jak and Daxter game, intending to serve as the fourth entry of the series. Not much is known about this version of the game, aside from it being considered a soft reboot of the franchise with concept art hinting at a more realistic style as opposed to its original cartoonish design. However, the idea was eventually scrapped as Naughty Dog thought that its direction did not fit with the tone of the previous games and would act as a disservice to the fans.
