Genius in both script and execution

What can I say about this show? Well, I came across it by accident and am glad that I did. I marathon'd both seasons in a single sitting. The episodes are short so it's very doable. And do you know what? Adult Wednesday needs to be on network TV. It could wipe the floor with half the drivel that's polluting airwaves these days. Amazing from start to finish. It hits a wonderful balance of witty and dark while keeping it lighthearted and modern. It really is a must watch. Currently there are only two season. I really do hope there is a third season. I would watch it religiously. Melissa hunter was born to play Wednesday. Do you know what you should do now? I bet you do. You should stop reading this and go watch the show. If you're not hooked by the 3rd episode (if not the very 1st) come back and click the down thumb on this review. No seriously, stop reading this and go check out Adult Wednesday. Why are you still here?

A Shrewd Satire On Some Aspects Of Our Today's Lifestyle

As a web series, "Adult Wednesday Addams" has a great potential. Metaphoric use of a vampire-like creature could be an innuendo of daily struggle of a sophisticated, introvert person encountering shallow people.

In fact, despite of her dark nature, "Wednesday", portrayed by Melissa Hunter, is the most rational character in all situations happening during the series. And, by virtue of that, "Wednesday" is very amiable. Melissa Hunter's performance has an important role in that. For example, she perfectly portrays the frustration of a person facing stupid people while she is trying to stay rational.

Although occasionally the plot lacks a proper storytelling, its short length and conciseness help the series to stay entertaining.

In a nutshell, its minimalist nature makes this series relevant to its audience who are usually social media users.

This is really great stuff.

This could have been a weekly television series. I think it could have been bigger then Big Bang Theory. Everything about it is refreshing, good and original.

Love it!

Adult Wednesday Addams was great. I think the people who shut it down really missed a chance to make the entire Addams family even more relevant in today's world.

The leading contender...

....for the coulda, shoulda, woulda hit of the twenty-teens, "Adult Wednesday" showcases writer/actor Melissa Hunter's clever take on the central character's progression through adulthood, while offering up subtle jabs at life in contemporary America with a wit matching that of the character's original creator. It's a shame this series was squelched by copyright issues, but the material remains easily accessible online. Don't miss it!

My first review for over 20 years :)

Been looking IMDb for 20 years , but only for that one i wanted to tell you to watch it !!!

Even if you don't like Wednesdays family , this one has really clever writing , they must have spend to many hours - years to think of the best jokes, not some easy money there.

Cant believe some of the lines , don't want to spoil anything with a hint, see for yourself.

I really hope they make more ...

Don't FORGET ;)

Adorably campy.

This is a pure delight. Melissa Hunter captures the dark sarcasm and stone cold demeanor that was such a part of the character of Wednesday Addams. Each episode is only a few minutes long but it's more than enough to get the point across.

The story is quite simple. Wednesday Addams is all grown up and is facing the world as an adult. Whether it be finding a place to live, going on a blind date or messing with a reality TV star she always comes out on top and manages to scare the living crap out of everybody she interacts with,

It's a shame that the estate of Charles Addams issued a cease and desist order against Melissa for using their character and forced her to take the series down. But it's still out there on Youtube if you care to look.

Found this gem by accident

Like fate and Wednesday A*****, I found this by accident while looking for the new trailer on Netflix and it was amazing. I'm sorry the A***** Foundation decided to have this removed. Melissa Hunter, you're great and I hope you do more great stuff.

Watching this on some other person's YouTube that republished your work.

Totally impressed on every level

I absolutely adore this character and the fine detail to the production. I just found this, (long story) This Girl is funny, and can act. I will look forward to seeing her talent again and again. Many Girls should take stock of her abilities.

Absolutely brilliant!

It's too bad Melissa got a cease and desist for this wonderful piece of work. It was a ton of dark fun to watch and it was played with love as defined by Wednesday herself ;)

Note true to Adams Family more like a Feminist Emo...

It's not Adams Family and it does not give off that kind of character vide. Part of what makes the Adams family so good was not just what they did but the reasons for it and this is completely missing that element overall. IT is more in line with a emo girl in LA and that is about it. This is not what Adult Wednesday would be, it is what a Adult emo girl would be. The character story building is spot gags and yes so was the original show but then a single line would explain it's dark back reasoning. It would in just a 30 or 45 second clip bring it all together and gave it a feel of the Adams Family. This is just take a character name and while saying dark things. It is no more Adams Family then any random emo series.

I love it and I need more.

When I found this, I watched all episodes directly.. And now I'm saddend that it is over.. I need more. She is awesome, whitty, cool and a total Addams.

The 10th star left out because it wasn't clear all the time (episode of the aboriton clinic) what was going on directly. But that's it.

That and the fact that it is way to little and I need more, are the only downside things about this series.

We need more!

Absolutely Brilliant

I grew up with The Addams Family series and my favourite character was always Wednesday Addams, her and Lurch. This web series brings to life what an adult Wednesday would be like and it hits every spot. Melissa Hunter is wonderful and she really brings the character to life. The stories are funny and her dead pan delivery is perfect. I wish that she had been able to more or even bring it to a streaming service or tv. This is a fun series that really does justice to the original comic strip, tv series and movies. I also love how she brings Wednesday to the 21st century, taking on Right To Lifers and influencers. This is a clever series.

Now we see why...

This was a brilliant take on Wednesday as an adult. People wondered why it was shut down rather than being supported and even promoted by the owners of the Addams Family intellectual property. Now we can.postulate that Netflix feared that their bought and sold for version has the potential to fall short of a well done speculative interpretation of the maturation of the character of Wednesday. Safer for them to tear down the competition rather than risk falling short of a bar that was set extraordinarily high by Adult Wednesday Addams. I would encourage any fans of the Netflix version to seek out Adult Wednesday Adams and give it as much support as possible.

Amazingly honest with the whole death becomes you

I see so much hate in this world where 99 percent of humanity lets power goto their heads, when given to them, goes to there heads. Speak to any cop and you will see they are trained to dominate you. You can't say a single cop or judge lets power goto their head. So much danger with that power. The end will end in disappointment. This is society today, now introduce the real Wednesday Adams, I pray she drives home the reality we live in everyday. I saw you bring your best Wednesday. Make their suffering worthy, or ill sadly die in the plethora of missed opportunity. Be vigilant, dont waste your gifts! Make sure we get our monies worth and you will be worthy it!
