This film had all the ingredients for a gripping narrative, but unfortunately, it diddn't quite live up to its potential. The story is intense and engaging, but the execution fell short due to a weak script that failed to make a lasting impact.
The making of the film was passable, with decent cinematography and a forgettable background score. The acting was average, with none of the performances standing out as particularly memorable. The dialogue felt forced and unnatural..
Better casting and direction could have elevated the film, but as it stands, it feels like a missed opportunity. The film had moments of tension and suspense, but they weren't enough to make up for its overall lack of impact. With some further development and refinement, this could have been a truly memorable film.
The film's intense story was let down by its poor script, average acting, and lackluster direction. While it had some redeeming qualities, it ultimately fell short of expectations. Maybe with a better cast and direction, the outcome would have been different. Nonetheless, it's still worth watching for fans of the genre, but it won't be remembered as a classic.
The movie had potential, but it ultimately fell flat due to various shortcomings. Despite the eintense storyline, the poor script and average performances held it back from reaching its full potential. With some improvements, this film could have been a real standout, but as it is, it's a forgettable entry in an otherwise crowded field.

Imagine a scenario where a doctor needlessly treats a patient suffering from the common cold with six months of dialysis and eventually performs surgery. That's how unnecessarily stretched and overcomplicated the plot of Am Ah:
The first 20 minutes feature a documentary-style presentation by Jaffer Khan and Dileesh Pothan about the landscape and lifestyle of Idukki, but it was unclear what purpose this served.
Dileesh Pothan and Jaffer Khan 'effortlessly' played 'themselves' throughout the film lol. Jaffer Khan seems to be following Shine Tom Chacko's style-forgetting to act.
Then there is Devadarshini's character. The director may have intended her to represent maternal love or sacrifice, but the execution makes her appear either ultra-psycho or simply irritating.
The character of the blind master (Aashan) still seems to be stuck in the 1980s, waiting for a bus.
I won't say more to avoid spoilers.
What could have been wrapped up in a 10-minute short film has been stretched into a full-length feature. . 2/10.

A must watch if you are tired with all kind of negativity that we see in movies now a days.
This is a thriller but does not make use of a psychopath and his serial killings for creating a thrilling environment!. A thriller where you will not see multiple back to back murders for taking revenge for one murder. No violence at all.
A film where womens feelings are portrayed with atmost respect after long time.
The very first seen and the kavantha song are enough for anyone to go for this family movie.
A movie based on strong script and good music. Stellar performances from Meera Vasudev, Dileesh Pothan, Jaffar Idukki and Shruthi Jayan.

Am Ah - Brilliant topic which deals with 4 types or dimension of motherhood.. The movie is worth watching for its beautiful visuals and landscape of idukki(kavantha), strong performance and good theme. Its a real feel good movie with some emotional moments. Beautiful songs by gopi sunder and good lyrics.. The writer has tried to bring in some mystery and suspense elements in the script which keeps as guessing.. The movie is for a bit serious audience and family. All artist have done their part very well including the kids.. Overall a really good family movie and worth watching in theatre. Well done!!!

Fantastic movie with strong story and script. All the actors did their role well. Very touching music from Gopi Sunder. All families must watch this without fail and must watch in theatre to enjoy the sceneries.
Such small movies must be supported and successful for the industry to groom. I have seen everyone is almost crying with emotion inside theatre. Also, some emotional echo will be there with us even after leaving the theatre.
A rare theme, not many films came under this Jonner, I can guarantee spending 2 hours for this film will be worth. Me and my family are fully happy and satisfied.

The highlight of this movie is undoubtedly its script, which masterfully builds momentum as the story unfolds. It marks a significant departure from the typical commercial formulas prevalent in the film industry, offering a refreshing cinematic experience.
The visuals are a true spectacle, complemented by amazing background music that enhances the narrative. Each character delivers their role with precision and depth, leaving no room for criticism.
This is a film that can be enjoyed by the entire family, free from any awkward moments(a rarity now a days)-an absolute delight to watch. No words can truly capture its brilliance. Thank you for this masterpiece!

Am Ah" is a film with undeniable visual beauty and soulful songs. It has a breathtaking cinematography and a compelling story. However, its uneven pacing and occasional lapses in narrative clarity prevent it from reaching its full potential.
The scenic Idukki hills, in the Kavantha song was amazing, definitely should be watched on the big screen. The night shots of the hills was excellent, The second half is fast paced, there were lot of action and plots to catch up, would have been good if the screen time for these were spread across in 1st half.
The film is worthwhile watch for those seeking a cinematic experience that is both visually and emotionally engaging.

A deeply moving and sentimental film that beautifully portrays the bond between a mother and her daughter, leaving a lasting emotional impact. The story also captures the beauty of Idukki and its people, adding a rich, authentic backdrop that enhances the emotional depth of the narrative. Despite lacking a major star cast, the film delivers a powerful performance and resonates on a profound level, proving that a strong story and heartfelt performances can make all the difference. Its simplicity and focus on genuine emotions make it a standout, proving that storytelling, rather than star power, is what truly drives the heart of cinema.

Awesome movie.. nowadays people don't want to see such movies.. it's a nice thriller with emotionally overwhelming.. nice story with great performances, great songs and bgm, great visuals.. unfortunately very underrated. The visuals, performances and bgm are emotionally connecting with viewers very well. Rarely gets so emotional and want to watch a movie twice nowadays. This movie deserved a far better run in theatres. I hope that this movie was not a flop. The baby's performance was.. of course it's not acting. It really filled my eyes with tears. I don't know what else to say. This movie is a rare and underrated gem.

Am Ah is not just a movie; it's an experience that lingers long after the credits roll. Directed with a masterful touch and featuring stunning performances, this film is a poetic exploration of motherhood, redemption, and the power of silent resilience.
The story centers around Ammini Amma, played brilliantly by Devadarshini, whose portrayal is nothing short of mesmerizing. Her character is a portrait of unspoken sacrifice and quiet strength, carrying the weight of love and loss with grace and authenticity. Dileesh Pothan as Stephen is equally compelling, delivering a grounded and heartfelt performance that perfectly complements the film's emotional gravity.
The cinematography deserves special mention-each frame is beautifully composed, capturing the raw essence of rural Kerala while immersing us in the characters' world. The background score is subtle yet haunting, accentuating the emotional beats without ever overshadowing them.
What sets Am Ah apart is its storytelling. It unfolds with a deliberate pace, allowing us to truly connect with its characters and understand the layers of their struggles. The film does not rush; instead, it trusts its audience to appreciate the nuances and unspoken words that carry the narrative forward.
In a time when spectacle often overshadows substance, Am Ah reminds us of the beauty of simple, heartfelt storytelling. It's a movie that speaks to the soul, making you reflect on the nature of love, family, and the ties that bind us beyond blood.
Am Ah is a triumph in Malayalam cinema-a film that deserves to be seen, cherished, and remembered.

Am Ah is a fantastic movie which plays with human emotions and the background score is really mesmerising! I was unaware on many things happening around us, great eye opener👍 very good movie to watch with family . Kudos to all the actors!!! Justice done 👍. The kid has executed her part nicely as instructed. Each and every character contributed to its perfection. Nice cinematography and visuals. Rather than watching highly advertised movies without satisfaction, this movie is a true example that a movie can be directed in a subtle way simultaneously engaging the audiences. A hearty congrats to the entire crew! U rocked it!!!!

Here's a 300-word positive review for a suspense movie:
---
Am ah is a masterfully crafted movie that keeps you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. Directed with precision and a keen eye for detail, the film weaves a gripping tale of mystery, betrayal, and redemption that will leave you guessing until the very end.
The story follows, a brilliant but troubled investigative journalist, played by a powerhouse lead actress, who stumbles upon a decades-old cold case while researching a seemingly unrelated story. As she digs deeper, she uncovers a web of secrets that implicates powerful figures, putting her own life in danger. The plot is intricately layered, with twists and turns that are both shocking and satisfying. Just when you think you've figured it out, the film throws another curveball, keeping the tension high throughout.
The cinematography is stunning, with moody lighting and atmospheric settings that amplify the sense of unease. The use of shadows and tight camera angles creates a claustrophobic feel, perfectly complementing the film's tense narrative. The score, a haunting blend of strings and electronic tones, adds to the suspense, heightening every moment of dread and revelation.
The performances are outstanding across the board. The lead actress delivers a nuanced portrayal of Emma, balancing vulnerability with determination, while the supporting cast, including a chilling antagonist, adds depth and complexity to the story. The dialogue is sharp and purposeful, with every line serving to advance the plot or reveal character.
What sets *Gone in the Shadows* apart is its ability to blend heart-pounding suspense with emotional depth. Emma's personal journey-grappling with her own demons while chasing the truth-adds a layer of poignancy that resonates long after the credits roll. The film's climax is both thrilling and emotionally satisfying, tying up loose ends while leaving just enough ambiguity to spark discussion.
In short, *Gone in the Shadows* is a must-watch for fans of the genre. It's a smart, stylish, and utterly engrossing thriller that proves suspense cinema is alive and well.

"Am Ah" is a film with deep songs and unquestionable visual beauty.
Am Ah" is a film with deep songs and unquestionable visual beauty. It tells a gripping tale and features stunning cinematography. But it falls short of its full potential due to its erratic pacing and sporadic narrative clarity errors.
The Kavantha song's breathtaking depiction of the picturesque Idukki highlands is undoubtedly worth seeing on a large screen. The second half moves quickly, with a lot of action and plots to catch up on. It would have been better if the screen time for these had been divided between the first and second halves. The nighttime images of the hills were great.

*Kavantha* is a heartwarming and visually stunning film that tells the story of Stephen, a road construction supervisor whose life takes an unexpected turn when he is assigned to a project in the serene and enigmatic mountainside village of Kavantha. Directed with a delicate touch, the film beautifully balances themes of self-discovery, human connection, and the healing power of nature.
Stephen, portrayed with depth and nuance by a talented lead actor, is initially portrayed as a man consumed by his work, detached from the world around him. However, the moment he steps into Kavantha, the film's breathtaking cinematography captures the village's ethereal beauty-rolling hills, misty mountains, and quaint cottages-that immediately draws him in. The village, with its warm and welcoming inhabitants, becomes a character in itself, offering Stephen a chance to rediscover life's simple joys.
The heart of the story lies in Stephen's interactions with the villagers, particularly Meera, a mysterious yet kind-hearted woman who becomes his guide and confidante. Their growing bond is portrayed with subtlety and grace, revealing layers of vulnerability and resilience in both characters. The supporting cast, including wise elders and playful children, adds authenticity and charm to the narrative, making Kavantha feel like a place you'd want to visit.
The film's pacing is deliberate, allowing the audience to immerse themselves in the tranquil atmosphere and the evolving relationships. The screenplay is rich with metaphors, using the road construction project as a symbol of building bridges-both literal and emotional. The score, a blend of soothing melodies and traditional folk music, enhances the film's emotional depth.
*Kavantha* is a poignant reminder of the importance of human connection and the beauty of slowing down to appreciate life's moments. It's a film that lingers in your heart, leaving you with a sense of hope and renewal.

Wonderful family oriented movie with a totally different theme. Every moment is a suspense that makes us curious about the next.
Best acting by all the screen players.
Little horror touch brought it, which could have avoided to maintain mild thriller.
Eyes filled with tears as it is attached to babies role.
The emotions connected with amminiyamma, Jincy and Aashan, One of the song is so good so that it can be tagged as lullaby song .
Background score is too good.
Overall a good attempt that one can watch with family, parents and grandparents together.
Can't imagine that the film is shooted at such a lonely.
