Exclusive: Canada’s Crave is making a mystery competition series based on its crime drama Aller Simple.
Fremantle has launched sales at the London TV Screenings on House of Secrets. In the show, which launches on Crave in the Spring, contestants, each guarding a personal secret, enter an isolated cottage cut off from the outside world. Before the first player is ‘dropped’ via a trapdoor, 15 secrets are revealed—10 true and five fabricated. To survive, they must separate fact from fiction.
Sphere Media’s show is the latest to employ the guessing game approach that has exploded since The Traitors broke out. It is based on Aller Simple, Crave’s French crime drama series in which passengers invited to travel by helicopter to a French-Canadian billionaire’s home ended up stranded in a cottage.
Vasha Wallace, EVP Global Acquisitions and Development, Global Entertainment at Fremantle, said: “This is absolutely gripping – completely in the zeitgeist of high-concept,...

Vincent D'Onofrio wants a key role in the upcoming Swamp Thing movie in James Gunn's rebooted DC Universe, and his iconic MCU role of Kingpin has already proven he'd be perfect. Vincent D'Onofrio first appeared as Wilson Fisk's Kingpin in Marvel Television's Daredevil series, which debuted on Netflix in 2015 as the first installment in the Defenders Saga. Since the Defenders Saga has recently been confirmed to be canon to the MCU, D'Onofrio is now able to make his mark on the MCU proper as Kingpin, but his superhero franchise career may only just be beginning.
After his role as a major MCU villain in Hawkeye, Echo and the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again series, Vincent D'Onofrio has the opportunity to make the move to the new DC Universe. James Gunn and Peter Safran's new franchise is expected to completely revamp DC's live-action storytelling, and poaching some of...

Nightwing's iconic butt is humorously featured in a Beetlejuice-inspired variant cover, adding levity to an emotional story arc. Nicola Scott's artwork vividly captures the playful moment of Beetlejuice spanking Nightwing, drawing attention to his most iconic asset. Dick Grayson's coveted butt extends beyond the DC Universe, with fans upset if it's not depicted to its high standard in various media.
Beetlejuice has officially set his sights on the DC Universe, terrorizing fan-favorite heroes, including Nightwing, in a series of variant covers that are as hilarious as they are downright creepy. Among all these covers, the Tim Burton demon spanking the Original Boy Wonder is perhaps the most notable as it cements one unshakable truth: no matter the universe, Dick Graysons butt is Iconic.
Dick Graysons butt is so coveted among the Nightwing fandom that fans genuinely get upset if its not drawn to its DCs most phenomenal butt standard.

With just a couple of months left before Tim Burton and Michael Keaton's long-awaited Beetlejuice Beetlejuice arrives in theaters, DC Comics has shared a slew of variant covers featuring the chaotic "bio-exorcist" invading the DC Universe.
These will begin rolling out next month and feature the sequel's title character crossing paths with the likes of Superman, Wonder Woman, and Harley Quinn.
However, the cover which has received the most attention is Beetlejuice looming large over Batman; it's not just any version of the Dark Knight, though! As we're sure you'll notice, that's the Batman played by Keaton in Burton's Batman and Batman Returns.
Here's when and where you'll find each of these variant covers:
Gotham City Sirens #2 - August 13 House of Secrets #92 (2024 Facsimile Edition) - August 21 Nightwing #117 - August 21 Superman #17 - August 21 Wonder Woman #12 - August 21 Batman #152 - September 4

Gaanth Chapter 1: Jamnaa Paar on Jio Cinema, directed by Kanishk Varma, is based on the infamous Burari deaths, where 11 family members died under mysterious circumstances. But the show leaves us hanging without a clear answer. Was it a mass suicide? Some bizarre cult ritual? Or a mass murder? The series doesn’t really settle on a conclusion, which can be pretty confusing and makes the thriller aspect fall flat. Instead of diving deep into the mystery of the deaths, the series shifts its focus to the personal lives and struggles of those involved in the investigation. We follow Inspector Gadar Singh (played by Manav Vij), Dr. Shakshi Murmu (Monika Panwar), and Si Satyawati Mittal (Saloni Batra) as they face their own challenges while trying to solve the case. Unfortunately, some scenes feel repetitive and unnecessary, which ultimately slows down the pace. There’s also a Netflix documentary series called...

Deadman and Robin discover the House of Horror, a new location in the Sandman's domain that houses the Nightmare Stone. The House of Mystery and the House of Secrets have been major players in DC and Sandman storylines, and the House of Horror could have major ramifications for the Endless. Unlike the House of Mystery and House of Secrets, the House of Horror appears to be without a guardian, leading to speculation that Deadman may be tasked with looking after it.
In their quest to stop Insomnia, Deadman and Robin have cast themselves into the distant realms between waking and the Dreaming. There the heroes discover a previously unseen landmark in the Sandman's domain and the newest counterpart to Cain's House of Mystery and Abel's House of Secrets: the House of Horror.

Fans can now enjoy a restored release of Wes Craven's 1982 Swamp Thing movie, available on 4K Ultra HD/Blu-ray with a range of special features. Swamp Thing has come a long way since his first appearance in 1971, with his own comic series, TV shows, and now a highly anticipated reboot in the Dcu. The upcoming Swamp Thing movie will focus on the horror elements of the comic books and is set to be a standalone gothic horror film, separate from other Dcu offerings.
Fans of DC superhero Swamp Thing are eagerly awaiting news on the new iteration of the comic book monster as a surprising part of James Gunn and Peter Safran’s upcoming Dcu reboot. In the meantime, it could be a good time to catch up with master of horror Wes Craven’s 1982 big screen outing of Swampy as the classic horror movie finally gets a 4K...

Darkseid may be the New God of Evil, but one cosmic DC villain has hurt humanity far worse. The Lord of Apokolips has been a terrifying presence in the DC Universe for over 50 years, perpetually seeking the Anti-Life Equation, with which he can enslave all sentient life. Yet for all of his power, Darkseid has never quite achieved this goal - meanwhile, the far less famous Eclipso has been hard at work on a more successful project.
In 1992's Eclipso: The Darkness Within #1, written by Keith Giffen and Robert Loren Fleming and drawn by Bart Sears, readers are re-introduced to Eclipso, a Silver Age villain. During his initial round of appearances, he possessed noted solar scientist Bruce Gordon, forcing him to do the dark god’s bidding. Gordon was able to shake Eclipso’s influence, but he lived on, from his headquarters hidden on the moon. Now unencumbered by Gordon,...

It was announced earlier this year that a brand new Swamp Thing horror movie is on DC’s slate of upcoming projects, said to “investigate the dark origins of Swamp Thing.” James Mangold (Logan, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny) soon became attached to direct for WB/DC, and Mangold provides an update in a new chat with Variety.
During the chat, Mangold stresses multiple times that he’s not interested in treating franchise installments like feature length episodes of a television series, but rather his intent as a filmmaker is to tell complete stories from beginning to end. In other words, don’t expect Mangold’s Swamp Thing to merely be a small part of much larger DC plans for the character.

Bill Skarsgård has probably ensured a lifetime of villainous roles thanks to his celebrated performance as Pennywise in the two It movies. With the daunting shadow of Tim Curry's version behind him, he delivered a unique -- and uniquely terrifying -- rendition of the character that's climbing the ranks of horror's all-time favorite monsters. That's fed recent rumors about his casting in the upcoming DC Universe, and naturally, speculation has gravitated toward the rogues' gallery, with everyone from Lex Luthor to The Joker seemingly a good fit.
Assuming the rumors are true, however, there's nothing to say he'll be playing a baddie. Among the projects slated for release is Swamp Thing, whose title role has not yet been cast. Skarsgård would be perfect for bringing a complex and tragic Alec Holland to life.

This summer, the DC Universe will experience a living nightmare in a new crossover event titled Knight Terrors, which will force the heroes (and villains) to confront their worst nightmares. This horror-themed event is part of the publisher’s over-arching Dawn of DC initiative, and will kick off this May with the Dawn of DC Knight Terrors Free Comic Book Day Special Edition, with art by Chris Bachalo, who is returning to the publisher after nearly 20 years.
Knight Terrors, written by Joshua Williamson and illustrated by Howard Porter and Guillem March, begins when Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman find the body of one of the Justice League’s earliest villains in the Hall of Justice. Investigating the body, they are whisked away on a journey that will take them to the land of the dead and into a world of nightmares–and their only salvation may be Deadman. In addition...

Marvel Studios should really be called the House of Secrets, if you think about it. Each movie reveals so incredibly little about the plot that you can have three people watch the same trailer and they'll give you six different interpretations of what the movie will be about. "Spider-Man: No Way Home" was originally going to be sold as an entirely different movie before Alfred Molina went ahead and just confirmed his return as Doc Ock, all nonchalant.
Which brings us to "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness," a movie that has slowly but surely revealed a handful of things about its plot. Sure, we...

Disney Branded Television is developing House of Secrets, an action-adventure fantasy series from Chris Columbus and his 26th Street Pictures partners, Michael Barnathan and Mark Radcliffe. Harry Potter and Home Alone filmmaker Columbus co-authored the middle-school book series with the late Ned Vizzini.
The Disney+ project revolves around siblings Brendan, Eleanor and Cordelia Walker, who aren’t pleased when their family relocates to a creepy Victorian house once owned by an occult novelist, Denver Kristoff. By the time the Walkers realize that their new neighbor has sinister plans for them, they’re trapped in the magical house, traveling through the fantastical intertwined universes of Kristoff’s novels.
“Chris, Michael and Mark tell stories that resonate with multiple audiences, across generations and genres that deliver a sense of magic and wonderment through definitional characters,” said Ayo Davis, EVP Creative Development and Strategy at Disney Branded Television, who is overseeing the project.
