I cannot believe I am writing a review since I have not done this in years.

This is by far the stupidest film has to offer.

If you wanna vaccum and clean and leave it on the background and are romanian go for it, otherwise this is the stupidest movie I have seen from Romania cinema - have no idea whoever funded this.

There is a plot which a child could right, acting is so horrible that makes you cringe , and literally nothing to see. I still repeat myselft, what were they thinking in making this stupidity and idiocracy of a movie if you even can call this a "move" its the stupidest show I have seen from Romania TV.

This is a movie that presents an interesting perspective on personal growth, mentorship, and the complexity of self-improvement. I was curious about the concept, because nowadays it's easy to expect that a movie with a lighthearted theme could easily fall into clichés. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it offers more than it initially seems.

At its heart, the film is about mentorship and the relationships that form between those who have experience and those who are looking to learn. The story does a good job of bringing together characters with different backgrounds, creating a dynamic that feels authentic and not forced. It's refreshing to see a movie where mentorship is explored beyond the typical teacher-student setup. The way the characters grow and evolve throughout the movie feels natural, and that's something I really appreciated.

The thing that stood out to me was the film's honest approach to growth both personal and professional. While many movies try to portray self-improvement in an overly idealized way, this movie doesn't sugarcoat the reality. It shows how hard growth can be, the setbacks, the struggles, and the times when things just don't go as planned. I liked that it kept things real. Not everything falls into place smoothly, and that's something most of us can relate to. The characters face challenges and make mistakes, and it's their response to those challenges that defines their development.

The film doesn't beat you over the head with preachy messages. Instead, it lets the story unfold organically which helps keep the film grounded. Growth isn't a straight path, and the film emphasizes that well.

The humor in Mentorii is another highlight. It doesn't go for cheap laughs or over-the-top gags. The comedy comes from the awkwardness and authenticity of the characters' interactions, which made it even more enjoyable. It's a nice change from films that rely on forced humor. The humor here feels natural and complements the film's tone perfectly.

It is a film that knows what it wants to say, and it delivers that message in a subtle and effective way. It's not a perfect film, but it's definitely worth watching. If you're into films that have substance and a meaningful story, I recomand you to put this one on your list.

This is not a revolutionary film, but it will leave you with something to think about after it's over. It's a solid, well-rounded movie that offers more than just entertainment it gives you a chance to reflect on the relationships in your own life and how you approach growth and learning.

I admit i was a bit sceptic the first 20 minutes but as the characters appeared and developed it was very fun to watch :) there were some scenes were i laughed so hard that i don't remember the last time i laughed so much at a romanian movie. I will definetly use some of the lines from the movie in real life. Too good :)).

I was also surprised by some of the actors, young but very talented. It is nice to discover new talents. I am considering taking my daughter to see the movie, so she can make an ideea about the reality behind the influencers industry. Quite a good satire of that world.

Mentorii sets out to be a comedic take on influencer culture and the journey toward adulthood but ends up as a disjointed patchwork of skits barely strung together. While the cast features several well-known Romanian names, their presence does little to elevate what is, at its core, a poorly written and underdeveloped film.

The plot, such as it is, revolves around a spoiled heir being taught life lessons by social media figures - a setup with potential for satire or irony. Unfortunately, the execution feels amateurish. The humour relies on simplistic punchlines with little connection between scenes, and the pacing is more suited to a classroom sketch than a feature-length production.

Performances range from stiff to exaggerated, as if the cast were unsure whether to play it straight or lean fully into caricature. It's difficult to tell if the intention was irony or sincerity - either way, the result is flat. Even the more experienced actors seem trapped in a format that gives them little to work with.

Ultimately, Mentorii promises a smart comedy and delivers a confused, low-effort romp. Though clearly meant to entertain and perhaps even inspire, it never finds its voice. The final product feels more like a promotional vehicle than a cohesive film - an idea lost in translation from concept to screen.

A noble premise, squandered by weak writing, erratic performances, and direction that never quite decides what kind of story it wants to tell.

I'm trying to review this movie by comparing it with the other Romanian comedies recently made: No swearings (great for the entire family above 8-9 yo let's say), unexpectedly good pace, truthful actors (so unexpected from the influencers like Dorian Popa, Dracea, Mira, Mihai Petre or Mario Fresh), and last but not least... many smart jokes out there. That isn't a series of gags, it is driven by a story indeed. I went to the movie with very low expectations and left with a completely changed mindset. Laughed a lot. And yes... the author tried to give a moral ending there. Maybe could have been better, but the initiative is commendable. It really shows you the way influencers really are nowadays. Indeed... the commercials in the film were many and nauseating... maybe they'll look for other ways to finance it in the future, but overall... go see this film no matter how precious you are. You're gonna get a good laugh. Truly recommend!
