Catrine da Costa (1956 - 1984) is a Swedish murder victim whose remains were found in Solna, north of Stockholm, in 1984. Da Costa had been dismembered, and parts of her body were found in plastic bags on 18 July and 7 August.
Two doctors, Thomas Allgén and Teet Härm, were accused of killing and dismembering the 28-year old prostitute, Catrine da Costa in 1984. The first trial, in the Stockolm District Court took place in January-March of 1988, a second in May-July 1988 and a third trial in 1991, this time in the Administrative Court, in which the doctors were deprived of their doctors' licenses.
Two theatre productions that dealt with the subject premiered in Stockholm - "A Dream Play" (1989) by August Strindberg/Kerstin Klein-Perski at the Orionteatern and "Tupilak" (1993) by Per Olov Enquist at the Royal Dramatic Theatre.
