Created by Glen Powell and Michael Waldron, Hulu is suiting up for one of its quirkiest sports comedies, Chad Powers, with a talented cast of actors, which includes Powell, Steve Zahn, Toby Huss, Perry Mattfeld, Clayne Crawford, Wynn Everett, and others. The show is based on Eli Manning’s viral 2022 Chad Powers sketch and follows disgraced quarterback Russ Holliday (Glen Powell), who tries to reboot his career by disguising himself as the hilariously fake-but-deadly serious Chad Powers.

Directed by Tony Yacenda with Eli and Peyton Manning as producers, Chad Powers will premiere on September 30, 2025, with the first two episodes dropping on Hulu the same day, followed by weekly releases.

The Writer of Marvel’s Top Two 2025 Movie Admits Creating the Best Tom Cruise Thriller Ever
Image
When Marvel Studios’ screenwriter Eric Pearson was just 24 years old, he came across the script for Tom Cruise’s then-upcoming thriller Collateral. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the Thunderbolts* and The Fantastic Four: First Steps screenwriter talked about how he read that screenplay for the film in advance, which he felt was an amazing story, saying:

There was one that was good. It was called Untitled New York Thriller. It was the story of a cabbie down on his luck who picks up a hitman. It became Collateral. (Screenwriter) Stuart Beattie and I were on a panel recently and I told him. I found the coverage and sent it to him.

A Canceled Marvel TV Show Had A Big Impact On The MCU
Image
We're coming up on two decades of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Depending on your relationship to the franchise, that will either feel wild or leave you baffled that the property hasn't already passed that mark. Sometimes, it feels like we've always been living in this post-"Iron Man" world -- that the age of the cinematic universe is all there ever was. But even within the MCU itself, there have been various eras, with lots of experiments you may have forgotten Marvel Studios ever attempted.

Remember "The Incredible Hulk?" Remember when the MCU tried to ship Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and the Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo)? And then there was...

Superman's Animated Krypto Shorts Rescue The Best Abandoned MCU Idea
Image
James Gunn's "Superman" has performed well theatrically. It's a movie that has resonated both with critics weary of superhero movie slop and also with audiences who were hesitant to believe in yet another attempt at bringing the Man of Steel to the big screen.

In true Gunn fashion, this is an earnest, sincere, and silly superhero movie that fully embraces its comic book roots rather than try and hide them behind a gloomy and uber-serious tone. Indeed, "Superman" features kaiju fights, a Green Lantern with a ridiculous haircut, Lex Luthor yelling video game fight combos, literal monkeys working on keyboards as internet trolls, and also Krypto the Superdog being simultaneously the cutest and also worst dog on the planet.

Of course, the success of Krypto was rather immediate and noticeable, with the movie inspiring an increase in dog adoptions in the U.S., and leading to us speculating whether...

Image
Sometimes, a movie flies so far from our radar that, years later, we realize its existence and wish we had watched it before. This is a feeling you might have with Testament of Youth, a 2014 movie that brings a different approach to the war drama genre with two 007 hopefuls in the lead — Alicia Vikander (Tomb Raider) and Kit Harington (Game of Thrones). If you never watched it or did see it and were planning to rewatch, the time is now: the movie is available to stream on The Roku Channel.

In the real-life story of Testament of Youth, Vikander plays Vera Brittain, a woman who is an Oxford University student but abandons her studies once World War I breaks out. Spider-Man Deleted Scene: Tom Holland’s Funniest Fight Sequence Was Cut From His Movie
Image
There is a scene in ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home‘ that shows Peter Parker in his element, but unfortunately, it was deleted from the film’s final cut. The deleted scene is filled with your usual Spider-Man quips, which perfectly embody his awkward hero personality. From using his webs to patch a hole in the fish tank to turning the bad guys into chandeliers, Peter was on a roll in this scene.

‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ may not be your favorite Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, but you can’t deny that it had its moments. The film made over a billion dollars at the box office, becoming one of Marvel’s highest-grossing films ever, meaning there is no way to overlook Tom Holland‘s charm even if you wanted to.

This charm was highlighted in the deleted scene where Peter Parker has donned the Spider suit from ‘Avengers: Infinity War‘ and...

Marvel officially recasts beloved MCU character ahead of upcoming return
Image
Marvel Studios has been pulling out the stops to send the Multiverse Saga out in explosive fashion. We have the double act of Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars set to do that, but the super-sized duo won't be the only ones entertaining audiences. Among the major Marvel Cinematic Universe projects we still have on the horizon are Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Vision Quest, Wonder Man, Daredevil: Born Again season 2, and animated offerings such as Marvel Zombies, and the second seasons of X-Men '97 and Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.

That's a stacked line-up for sure, and it's hoped that it will both reinvigorate interest in the franchise's current era while also encouraging excitement for its next chapter after the credits roll on Avengers: Secret Wars. And it's no doubt going to feature a ton of surprises - from returning cast members from both the MCU and the previous Marvel Entertainment movies,...

A Yellowstone Actor Has History Playing Different Marvel And DC Characters
Image
The superhero industrial complex has tapped virtually every working actor in Hollywood with many signed to years and years of superhero movies in starring roles and cameo appearances. Others have been tapped for cameos that promise some grand role in the future, but will probably never come to fruition. Another genre of fiction that is also tossing a wide net when it comes to casting? Westerns, particularly Taylor Sheridan's "Yellowstone" cinematic universe.

Everyone from Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren to Josh Holloway and Rita Wilson have found themselves in the most popular cinematic universe on TV in the last few years. All this being said, there's not a lot of crossover between the two massive industries. Still, the few actors who have found success in both the "Yellowstone" universe and in superhero roles boast not only impressive resumes, but extremely wide audiences. Case in point: Neal McDonough.

McDonough plays Malcolm Beck in "Yellowstone,...

How ‘Fantastic Four’ Writer Eric Pearson Became a Marvel Secret Weapon
Image
Screenwriter Eric Pearson once spent an entire week watching Captain America: The First Avenger in five-minute increments. His mission: find split-second moments in which star Chris Evans could add lines such as “head to the base!” during Adr to help tie the movie together.

Massaging dialogue into a movie that’s essentially completed is considered grunt work for a screenwriter. There’s no opportunity to really shape the story, and for Pearson, there would be no credit. But the scribe, then an up-and-coming employee of Marvel’s Writers Program, had the mantra that there was no such thing as grunt work when it came to writing. He was just thrilled someone was actually paying him to do it.

Nearly 15 years later, Pearson is now a go-to writer for Marvel, penning Thor: Ragnarok, Black Widow, Thunderbolts*, The Fantastic Four: First Steps and its potential Blade movie (which he declined to discuss...

Neal McDonough Net Worth ( Photo Credit – YouTube )

Neal McDonough is a popular actor who has featured in several movies and TV series and made his mark in the film industry. From starring in his breakout film, Darkman, to appearing in multiple Marvel movies as Timothy ‘Dum Dum’ Dugan, he has an impressive filmography. Despite having such a resume, there was a time when he didn’t get a job just because of one of his contract clauses.

He never wanted to have an onscreen kiss scene, not because of his wife, but because he was not comfortable doing it. And for that, there was a time when Hollywood had turned its back on him, and he lost many years without a job. McDonough is widely appreciated and respected. Here’s how much net worth he holds.

Neal McDonough Says “Hollywood Completely Turned On Me” Because He “Wouldn’t Kiss Another Woman On Screen”

Neal McDonough has one rule when taking on acting roles: he will not kiss another actor on-screen.

The actor who has had roles in shows like Desperate Housewives, Suits, Band of Brothers and The X-Files recently revealed that Hollywood “turned” on him for taking this stance.

“I’d always had in my contracts I wouldn’t kiss another woman on screen,” McDonough said the Nothing Left Unsaid podcast, which TMZ shared. “My wife didn’t have any problem with it. It was me, really, who had a problem with it.”

He continued, “When I couldn’t do it, and they couldn’t understand it, Hollywood just completely turned on me. They wouldn’t let me be part of the show anymore.”

McDonough has been married to Ruvé Robertson since 2003, and the couple has five children together.

Marvel recast: A-List star set to 'take over' iconic role in new Disney show
Image
The beauty of the Marvel multiverse - or, well, any multiverse for that matter - is that there are really cool explanations to highlight why different versions of the same character exist. This also allows current adaptations of those characters to incoporate all of the previous ones too, making them all canon - even if they aren't canon to the same timeline or universe. They all existed, and that's what matters.

DC did it on TV with the Arrowverse and movies with the former Dceu, Now, Marvel is doing it with the Multiverse Saga. And as a result of this, any properties that run parallel to the Marvel Cinematic Universe can still be explained away as existing in an alternate timeline. It means that we can have multiple versions of the same character appear in either the same or different properties.

Why are we explaining this now? Well, because a...

Kevin Feige Believes Superhero Fatigue Isn’t Real After Superman
Image
Kevin Feige recently gave an interview with several news outlets, and during this discussion, he mentioned that perhaps Marvel has made too much content, but “superhero fatigue” isn’t real.

Yes, “Superman” has done fairly well globally. But DC isn’t cranking out countless films and shows. DC’s “Superman” also focused on story and character over narrative.

Unfortunately, Feige, whose job relies on making more Marvel content, has the takeaway that less is more and audiences aren’t sick of Marvel superheroes.

Two things can be true simultaneously.

People might still have room for non-Marvel superheroes and have superhero fatigue towards Marvel ones.

What did Feige say?

According to Variety, he said,

“Look at ‘Superman. It’s clearly not superhero fatigue, right?

“I liked it a lot. I love you just jump right into it. You don’t know who Mister Terrific is? Tough, you’ll figure it out.

Some TV shows end with loose threads or cliffhangers that leave us craving closure, while others are so beloved we just want one last adventure. A movie can tie up lingering plots or give fans a proper farewell, extending the story in a big way.

We’ve ranked 15 shows that need a cinematic finale, from compelling to essential, based on their unresolved stories or untapped potential. Here’s why these series deserve a movie to finish strong.

15. Hannibal (2013-2015) The De Laurentiis Company

More Than Ant-Man, I Want Marvel to Retire One Hero Who’s Been Getting So Much Hate Online That It’s Tarnishing Her MCU Legacy
Image
So… Agent Peggy Carter seems pretty great, right? Well, the majority of fans would disagree with the statement because, quite frankly, they are tired of her.

Although Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man has appeared in quite a lot of Marvel projects and some fans think that he has become an annoying person at times with his jokes, it seems that Hayley Atwell’s Peggy Carter has done a lot of projects in the MCU and continues to do so. However, it would be best for Marvel if they could just retire her, much like Captain America in Avengers: Endgame.

Marvel needs to retire Peggy Carter now

It was in 2011 when the world was introduced to Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers and his lover (and agent) Peggy Carter. A British MI6 agent, Peggy Carter, and Steve Rogers delve into a romantic relationship, which ends with Steve Rogers being frozen in ice at the end of the 2011 film.

Marvel's Worst-Rated TV Show Sits At 11% On Rotten Tomatoes
Image
I'm old enough to remember the 2014 press release wherein Marvel Studios announced all their films for their then-upcoming "Phase Three." The phase, as it was announced at the time, was to consist of "Captain America: Civil War", "Doctor Strange", "Guardians of the Galaxy 2", "Thor: Ragnarok", "Black Panther", "Avengers: Infinity War - Part I" (May of 2018), "Captain Marvel", and "Inhumans". The phase would climax with "Avengers: Infinity War - Part II" in May of 2019.

As Phase Three progressed, Marvel worked out a deal with Sony to make a Spider-Man movie, and "Spider-Man: Homecoming" was shoved into the lineup, released on July 7, 2017. This pushed back the "Thor," "Black Panther," and "Captain Marvel" movies. Phase Three also ended up adding "Ant-Man and the Wasp" and "Spider-Man: Far From Home" to the roster, and changed the title of the climax movie to "Avengers: Endgame." It seems the 2014 press release was only 70% correct.

Most notably,...

Hayley Atwell in Agent Carter (2015)
Marvel's 'worst-performing Disney+ show' revealed (and it's a shocker)
Hayley Atwell in Agent Carter (2015)
Marvel Studios' decision to shift into television with the launch of the Disney Plus streaming service was inevitable. After all, it's one that the MCU had made before (remember Agent Carter and Agents of Shield?), as it was an opportunity to extend the story of the Marvel Cinematic Universe beyond the films in projects that explore character journeys in much more meaningful ways.

As the years have rolled by since its Emmy-winning launch with WandaVision, the results have been somewhat mixed, with certain titles taking the franchise to new heights and others offering up new lows. The standard on the big screen began to decline too, with general public opinion being that Marvel had spread itself too thin and the overexposure was hurting the MCU.

Marvel is still a titan of Hollywood but it isn't the undefeated monster capable of drawing everyone to movie theaters that it was in 2019. This...

Marvel unexpectedly recasts Spider-Man actor ahead of MCU return
Image
There is a lot to be excited about when it comes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The franchise staged a huge comeback at the box office last year with Deadpool and Wolverine and has since scored Disney Plus success stories with Agatha All Along and Daredevil: Born Again. Now, it has enjoyed more critical acclaim with Thunderbolts*, which had such a positive response that it ended up defying expectations at the box office. This is the type of momentum that Marvel Studios needs to continue building as we head into Avengers: Doomsday next year.

Speaking of 2026, next year will also feature Spider-Man: Brand New Day's release in movie theaters, as well as the second season of Daredevil: Born Again and The Punisher Special Presentation. Animated shows Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man and X-Men '97 will also return for second seasons, while Vision Quest will premiere too, carrying on the story of the WandaVision saga.

Marvel Boss on Why Agents of Shield Ended: “The simplest answer is…”
Image
To put it simply, Marvel’s Agents of Shield revolutionized superheroes on TV for good. Although the feat had been achieved by the DC show Arrow just a year earlier, Marvel’s brave attempt to venture into TV shows was commendable.

The show didn’t have much rapport to begin with. The heroes that fans had known to come and love weren’t heavily involved in Agents of Shield as the series solely focused on Agent Phil Coulson and his team. Naturally, the show had to come to an end, but not before it went out with a bang.

Why Agents of Shield ended

Starting in 2013, Agents of Shield was oftentimes forced to bring some or another cameo into their series just to keep the viewers connected to the show. Fans had assumed that since the show was a part of Marvel (not the MCU), there would be some known faces in it.

Hayley Atwell at an event for What If...? (2021)
Tom Cruise wasn’t the only impressive stuntman on the set of Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning.

During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Hayley Atwell revealed that she was almost nine months pregnant while shooting one of the film’s fight scenes.

“During this fight sequence, we came back to it a few times to add a few elements to it, and in this clip, I’m actually eight and a half months pregnant,” Atwell told Fallon before the clip was shown on the show. “I’m serious, yes!”

The Agent Carter star said that “everyone was so supportive” and they offered to have a stunt double step in for her to finish out the scene. Nonetheless, Atwell was eager to perform the stunt on her own.

“I have to say, I was taken such good care of, everyone was so supportive,” she said.

15 Most Underrated TV Shows On Disney+
Image
We may receive a commission on purchases made from links.

Disney has been making entertainment magic for more than 100 years, but in recent years, Disney+ has become the go-to streaming service for fans who want to rewatch the movies and shows that they love the most. Some people head to the famed Disney princesses (which /Film has ranked), while others revisit live-action adventures like "Tron." It's easy to immediately go for the comfort food, but Disney+ offers more than the popular stuff that people make a beeline for.

Amid popular TV shows like "Boy Meets World" and "Lizzie McGuire" (which was cancelled twice), Disney+ has plenty of shows that didn't get the recognition they deserved when they premiered. This gave them an underdog status that could have been brought on by over-saturation of content or a storyline that was ahead of its time. These forgotten shows hold a special place within the Disney catalog,...

Not Agents of Shield, One Sad Truth Makes ‘Agent Carter’ MCU’s Worst Blunder
Image
It was in 2011 when the world was introduced to Hayley Atwell in the iconic role of Agent Peggy Carter in Captain America: The First Avenger. Fans loved her (alongside Steve Rogers) but found very little time with her when Steve Rogers dived headfirst into an icy plunge.

However, with the cryo-sleep of Steve Rogers, Peggy Carter’s story did not end. Quite the contrary, Atwell reprised her role in a 15-minute film titled Agent Carter and a subsequent series of the same name in 2015.

What went wrong with Marvel’s Agent Carter?

Don’t get me wrong. Marvel’s Agent Carter was one of the finest television shows that the world had ever seen (alongside Daredevil) when it was airing in 2015. However, there was a pretty big blunder that the MCU made.

Similar to the short film, Agent Carter followed the story of Peggy Carter,...

Hayley Atwell "Would Love" To Return As "Underserved" Captain Carter In Avengers: Doomsday And Secret Wars
Image
Hayley Atwell's Peggy Carter quickly became a fan favourite after appearing in 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger, and Marvel Studios was understandably eager to bring the British actor back into the fold.

That started with a fun "One-Shot" short and after a cameo in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Marvel Television launched the Agent Carter TV series (the only one of that studio's shows Marvel Studios executives were actively involved with).

Years later, Peggy was made the face of Marvel Animation's What If...? as a Variant of the character who took the Super Soldier Serum and became "Captain Carter." She similarly struck a chord with fans, so her live-action debut in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was cause for celebration. Until it wasn't.

The hero was killed in short order, and confusingly, the Captain Carter who died at the Scarlet Witch's hands was revealed to be another very similar Variant and,...

‘Thunderbolts*’ Screenwriter Eric Pearson Reveals the Scrapped Versions of the Movie You’ll Never See
Image
“Thunderbolts*”, er, “*The New Avengers” is in theaters now and has reestablished some good will for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The movie is deliberately small-scale and low-stakes, following a group of lovable losers, led by Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), with an emphasis on character development over firepower. If you have not seen it, you really should.

And part of what makes the movie so special is the script, which was initially written by Eric Pearson, with later work by “Beef” creator Lee Sung Jin and “The Bear” co-showrunner Joanna Calo. TheWrap spoke to Pearson, an MCU Mvp with credits on everything from the early Marvel Studios short films like “The Consultant” to TV like “Agent Carter” and feature films ranging from “Ant-Man” to “Black Widow.”

We talked about the various versions of the movie that were tried and ultimately scrapped. But who doesn’t love a good multiverse story?...

Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning Featurette & Photos Preview Dangerous Underwater Sequence
Image
With just weeks to go, the marketing campaign for Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning is starting to ramp up and Paramount has just shared an insane new featurette, spotlighting the film's high stakes underwater sequence that will be unlike anything you've ever seen on screen.

Teasing the sequence, star/producer Tom Cruise said, "From Legend in 1985 to Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, I have been studying and filming underwater sequences for over 40 years. We have always tried to push our filmmaking to the next level… In this movie McQ and I saw an opportunity to create an underwater sequence unlike any other. We are excited to share it with you."

While the context of the scene remains mostly under wraps, it seems probable that this unprecedented moment will have something to do with the missing Sevastopol, which Ethan Hunt and his Imf team will be racing to locate...

‘Thunderbolts*’ Co-Writer Eric Pearson Talks ‘The New Avengers’ Reveal, Pre-Sentry Villain and Original Taskmaster Arc
Image
[This story contains spoilers for Thunderbolts*.]

Thunderbolts* co-writer Eric Pearson has been one of Marvel Studios’ most reliable collaborators the last 15 years.

In 2010, the New York City native enrolled in Marvel Studios’ Writers Program, before cutting his teeth on the majority of the Marvel One-Shots series, including Agent Carter (2013), which served as the catalyst for the 2015-16 ABC television series that housed three Pearson-penned episodes. He then performed uncredited writing on Ant-Man (2017) and Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), paving the way for Thor: Ragnarok (2017), his first co-writing credit on an MCU feature film. He proceeded to do some more script-doctoring on Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019) until Black Widow (2021) earned him sole writing credit. In between his Marvel work, Pearson also co-wrote Godzilla vs. Kong and Transformers One.

Coming out of Black Widow, Pearson laid the groundwork for Thunderbolts*, initiating the pitch that teamed up Widow’s Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian (David Harbour...

Mission: Impossible—The Final Reckoning Tracking For Franchise-Best Opening; Plus Popcorn Bucket & New Photos
Image
With a few weeks to go, the first tracking data for Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning is out and it seems as though his ace Imf agent Ethan Hunt is gearing up to go out with a bang.

As per The Hollywood Reporter, The Final Reckoning is currently looking at an opening in the $72 million to $88 million range, with box office pundits targeting a $80 million domestic launch over the course of the four-day Memorial Day holiday weekend, which would be a franchise-best, topping the $61.2 million three-day launch for Mission: Impossible - Fallout in 2018.

Meanwhile, Disney's Lilo & Stitch is expected to open around $120 million over the four-day holiday, with projections expecting something in the $110 million to $130 million range, so based on these early estimates, it seems like we're in for one of the biggest movie weekends since 2023's Barbenheimer.

If the tracking holds, and if buzz continues...

How ‘Thunderbolts*’ Director Jake Schreier Made a Very Different Marvel Movie
Image
Back in 2022, when director Jake Schreier was working on “Beef,” which would go on to become a critical darling and win eight Emmys, he had an afterschool project – pitching on a new Marvel Studios movie.

The process was prolonged – by Schreier’s own account it took six or seven months. Each month or so he would meet with Marvel Studios producer Brian Chapek and discuss the project some more. “I would check in and we’d have a new conversation. And I just tried every time to just come with something new and really imagine, If I were already working on it, what are the things we would start doing?”

Sometimes, Schreier would bring in a “a set of concept art for some of the locations that we had discussed,” another time it was storyboards for some key sequences “not only to show how I would shoot it, but also...

'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Star Confirms They Were Supposed to Be in a Marvel Movie
Image
One star from Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. series just revealed new details about what her future as a Marvel star was supposed to look like. Adrianne Palicki stars in Seasons 2 and 3 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as Bobbi Morse, also known as Mockingbird. Palicki’s character was written out of the series in the third season to prepare for a spin-off series that never came to fruition. Palicki recently sat down with The Direct to talk about her new project, The Salamander King, and she revealed that her role as Mockingbird was supposed to be for much more than just two seasons in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.:

"The conversation I had when I signed on actually to 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' was either that I was going to be participating in the films or have a spin-off."

Palicki also spoke about the planned spin-off that she even filmed scenes for,...

Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Star Adrianne Palicki Said She Talked To Marvel About Playing Mockingbird In Movies
Image
When Adrianne Palicki joined the cast of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as Bobbi Morse/Mockingbird, there was a lot of excitement among fans. The series had largely focused on original characters up until that point, so a legit superhero joining the crew was welcomed.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. ended with season 7, and a planned spin-off led by Palicki and Nick Blood's Lance Hunter, Marvel's Most Wanted, shot a pilot while the series was on the air. However, it didn't receive the green light, and that was it for Mockingbird.

Taking to The Direct, Palicki confirmed that, when she signed up to play Mockingbird in 2014, she was promised the opportunity to bring the character to the big screen.

"The conversation I had when I signed on actually to 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' was either I was going to be participating in the films or have a spin-off," she explained. It could...

Marvel movie as good as canceled after getting placed on ‘hold indefinitely’
Image
When Marvel announced movies at the start of the launch of the MCU, they did so strategically and with the full intention of following through with the projects announced to the world. Fans used to be able to trust more in Marvel Studios as the studio was very intentional about its announcements and would only confirm projects that were in good standing.

Sadly, the MCU of today is not the same as the MCU of yesterday.

It’s becoming a growing problem for projects to be teased and announced, only to then go nowhere at all. We’ve met countless characters who seemed primed to take on bigger roles in future projects, only to then never appear again or remain in limbo for years. And then there are the movies and shows that were announced only to end up going nowhere.

For the most part, these canceled projects have been...

Marvel's Ill-Fated Blade Reboot Timeline Revealed, Would've Been the Earliest of Any MCU Movie
Image
The Marvel Cinematic Universe's Blade 4 continues to be little more than a concept as the long-gestating sequel remains in limbo. Oscar-winning costume designer Ruth E. Carter offers new intel into what the ill-fated Blade reboot was going to look like, confirming it had a vintage setting similar to her latest feature-length project, Sinners.

Speaking on the John Campea Show, Carter, known for her award-winning work in the Black Panther film series, was the costume designer for the in-development Blade 4 after Marvel announced it in 2019. Carter confirmed reports that the Blade remake was set in the 1920s, sticking to its comic book roots, as half-man, half-vampire Eric Brooks was born during London's Great Depression in 1929. “I was prepping Blade for Marvel, and it was a 1920s Blade story,” Carter said. However, when the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike compromised Blade 4's production, she found herself "in limbo," becoming one of several names to exit the project.

Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning Stars Tom Cruise & Hayley Atwell Tease Brutal -40° Shoot In Svalbard
Image
Paramount Pictures has released another amazing new behind-the-scenes featurette from Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning, this time shifting the spotlight away from the stunts and onto one of the franchise's most breathtaking shooting locations: Svalbard, Norway!

If you're wondering what brings our heroes to the Arctic, well, it's probably safe to say it'll have something to do with the missing Sevastopol, which sank at the beginning of the previous film.

Dead Reckoning spoilers ahead, but, as we all know now, the completed key that Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) managed to swipe at the end of that film opens a chamber in the Sevastopol that contains the Entity's source code, allowing it to be destroyed or controlled.

The sub's location has remained a mystery until now, but, it looks like, in the two months between adventures, Hunt and company will have cracked its hidding spot in the Arctic Ocean.

How...

Tom Cruise Hangs At 8000 Feet With 140 Mph Winds In New Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning Sneak Peek
Image
Paramount Pictures has shared a jaw-dropping new look at Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, offering a quick sneak peek at Tom Cruise's most dangerous stunt yet, as he hangs off the wing of a biplane at 8,000 feet, with winds of over 140 mph blasting!

This stunt, which will undoubtedly be this final installment's signature sequence. has been in the works for several years now, with Cruise ("Ethan Hunt") and director Christopher McQuarrie having meticulously shot it over the last two years. The duo actually first teased the plane sequence at CinemaCon 2023 ahead of the launch of that summer's Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning.

The previous installment received widespread critical acclaim and the follow-up is shaping up to bigger and better in every way, as Ethan Hunt and his elite team of Imf operatives race against the clock to stop The Entity once and for all.
