The Netflix Effect is weird. Whether it’s “Suits” or “Madame Web” or a Netflix original like “Baby Reindeer” that turns into a sleeper hit, people tend to gravitate toward some truly random stuff on Netflix. It’s the case most weeks on the Netflix Top 10 charts, but this week even we’re at a loss.
Coming in at No. 2 on Netflix’s Top 10 English Films for the week of February 17 was none other than “Uncharted,” the 2022 Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg adventure-thriller based on the PlayStation video game franchise. Because…why not?
You guys watched it 10.5 million times this week, behind only the Netflix original rom-com “La Dolce Villa,” which hit No. 1 for the second week in a row post-Valentine’s Day with 14.1 million views. “Uncharted” previously landed on Netflix on August 5, 2022, and it spent three consecutive weeks on the Netflix Top 10 charts at that time, reaching 23 million viewing hours in a single week.

Welcome back to another comprehensive breakdown of the Netflix top 10s for the week ending February 16th. It was a very busy week in the Netflix top 10s, but in the case of Cobra Kai, it’s difficult to call the show’s final batch of episodes a success or disappointment given its complex release schedule. Here’s your full top 10 report covering The Witcher’s new anime, La Dolce Villa, Honeymoon Crasher, Love is Blind, Surviving Black Hawk Down, Cassandra, and more!
Note: In this report of Netflix’s hours viewed from February 10th, 2025 to February 16th, 2025, we’ll use “Complete Viewings Equivalent,” or Cve, expressed in millions. That means we divide the hours viewed announced by Netflix by the runtime of films or series. It allows for better comparisons between films and series, but it’s not an audience metric. It is the minimum number of...

Since Valentine’s season is upon us, we’ve got a smorgasbord of romance movies from all across the world thanks to Netflix and other Ott platforms. So, I got a chance to watch the Indonesian romance movie The Most Beautiful Girl In The World. The movie tells the story of a typical rich playboy and his quest for love after his father passes away unexpectedly and leaves his inheritance to his son, only if he marries “The Most Beautiful Girl In The World.” Now, I know the title of the film makes you think that this is some sort of terrible movie that pits girls against each other, but it’s not. In fact, it’s a movie that is very self-aware and definitely hopes to appease a proud female crowd. It’s a movie about a strong, independent woman with a hunger for achieving her dream. But in...

Netflix has revealed its slate of original series and films from Thailand and Indonesia set to premiere throughout 2025, as the streaming service continues to invest in Southeast Asian content at a time when “the competition is pulling back,” according to Minyoung Kim, VP of Netflix Content.
The Thai slate features nine titles, following what Kim describes as “eight groundbreaking local productions that captivated audiences across Thailand and beyond” in 2024. The Thai lineup kicks off with “Dalah: Death and the Flowers” on Feb. 27, a high-society murder mystery starring Urassaya Sperbund. The series, helmed by directors Thanika Jenjesda and Alisa Pien, follows a mysterious floral designer who becomes entangled in the suspicious murder of a prime minister candidate on the eve of his wedding, with executive producer Prabda Yoon overseeing the production.
