realistic in many ways

I love this show. There are very realistic aspects and some things they leave out of the thrifting game.

they do show that ebaying is not a get rich quick way to make money. They do sell things like tshirts and coffee mugs. Are they making a TON, no,but they are making money. For most of us selling on the bay is not easy and not quick money.

Now, what they leave out: they are projecting profits and do not mention the shipping, plush percentage they pay to the company for final value percentage, AND a percentage of the sale to process the payment. Plus, the monthly online store "rent".

If you are considering selling online, you do need to research all of the costs involved first. So many people don't realize the fees associated with selling, but there is still room for profit.

These guys have been selling for years, and their experience shows its not a few big ticket items, but a LOT of smalls that add up. That is how many resellers earn a living.

the best reality show of 2014

the show like others have mentioned chronicle the daily activities of thrifting where they go to thrift and antique shops as well as estate and yard sales and buy items to sell for a profit that said this show is definitely a great source of not only entertainment but educational facts as one can easily watch the shows and learn stuff from safely shipping ceramics to buying and selling items like clothes and collector items among other things while all their comical antics will make one laugh hysterically as they are always joking and laughing I have been to their online stores and they have some great they have bought for low amounts and are selling for over 5-10 times their money so I would honestly say these guys are two of the best in thrifting today and their show is phenomenal check out thrift hunters and you will see for yourself the show is wonderful

worst show on TV.....

After watching this show for the 1st time this morn. What a joke.. This has got to be the stupidest show I have ever seen. These 2 clowns have absolutely no clue as to what they are doing.. And they are lucky they are being paid to do the show.. how did they ever get on TV to begin with?.. And get a 2nd season? and what is it about this dumb fad of unkempt hillbilly beards? It's like everyone is trying to emulate those ridiculous duck dynasty people... Give me a freaking break.. I've been in the business for more than 30 yrs. And if I did business. like these 2 clowns I'd go broke.. At least that auction hunters show even while being fake and scripted has been a little entertaining... DO NOT.... AND I REALLY MEAN... DO NOT TRY TO EMULATE THESE 2 IDIOTS... YOU WILL GO BROKE IF YOU DO.. This is not a get rich quick business. Yes every once in a while you might find a real treasure. And and make a really good profit.. but those items are few and far between... I am really getting tired of all these stupid reality shows and their raising of peoples expectations.. unrealistically.. That they have on TV today... So Sorry to have burst anyones bubble... I will be so happy when this reality show bullshit ends... Have a nice day..

Cheesy

Good idea for a show but the guys are corny & overact. The show moves slowly, the actual content is shallow. If they spent less time acting like children and more time as professional thrifters sharing specific knowledge, Thrift Hunters would be worth the time, memorable & inspiring. I appreciate the travel around the country, that's major effort. Music & intro are well done. They fail to mention they have hired help do some of their work. These guys are loaded with knowledge, the show just does not reflect that well. This show sprung from their Facebook site which is run with an iron fist & can be demeaning to members who do not post questions correctly. Season 2 was worse than season 1. I'll skip season 3 if there is one....
