Cameron Boyce’s mother, Libby Boyce, thanked Adam Sandler for the tribute to her son in “Happy Gilmore 2.”

“Thank you [Adam Sandler] for honoring Cam’s legacy in ‘Happy Gilmore 2,'” she wrote in an Instagram post Monday, sharing a still of the tribute and a frame of Sandler and Boyce in “Grown Ups 2.” Boyce died in 2019 due to an epileptic seizure in his sleep.

Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires stars Milo Manheim and Meg Donnelly have shared their hopes for the future of the franchise. The stars have played teenage zombie Zed and half-human, half-alien cheerleader Addison respectively in all four installments of the Disney Channel musical franchise.

In addition to starring in 2025's Zombies 4, the stars executive produced the new installment, which follows Zed and Addison mentoring a young vampire, Victor (Malachi Barton) and a young daywalker, Nova (Freya Skye), hoping to stoke their burgeoning love and foster peace between their tribes.

Deadline recently sat down with Milo Manheim and Meg Donnelly to discuss the release of Zombies 4. During their conversation, the topic turned to the potential Zombies 5. FX has picked up the new workplace comedy pilot Movers, from creators and executive producers Robert Ben Garant and Cathy Shim. Garant co-created Comedy Central’s Reno 911!, in which Shim also starred. That mockumentary’s executive producers, Stacey Sher and Peter Principato, will EP the pilot with Jonny Shipes (Bmf: The Rise and Fall of a Hip-Hop Drug Empire).

Garant and Shim will also star in the 20th Television-produced project alongside Maz Jobrani (Friday After Next), Darius Homayoun (Sex/Life), Tanael “Tj” Joachim, Manny Montana (Ironheart) and WWE’s Becky Lynch (real name Rebecca Quin) co-starring.

Six years after his death, Cameron Boyce‘s Descendants co-stars are keeping his memory alive.

On Sunday, the cast of the Disney Channel Original Movie trilogy paid tribute to the late actor who died at age 20 of an epileptic seizure in 2019 after he originated the role of Cruella de Vil’s son Carlos in the original 2015 fantasy movie musical.

“Our Angel. Forever,” wrote Sofia Carson on Instagram with a behind-the-scenes cast photo, which Booboo Stewart also shared on his Instagram Story.

Sarah Jeffery also shared a photo of herself with Boyce in 2014 “on a BC ferry to Victoria to shoot more of Descendants. Life is good. Miss you Cam.”

Boyce — who was also known for his roles in Grown Ups, Jessie and Mrs. Fletcher — died in his sleep on July 6, 2019. His family noted at the time that his death was caused by “an ongoing medical condition,” which was later revealed to be epilepsy.

In 2024, Disney revived the Descendants franchise after a five-year film hiatus with The Rise of Red. Now, rumors are flying about the House of Mouse rebooting another beloved Disney Channel Original Movie franchise.

Trusted insiders The DisInsider and Daniel Rpk are reporting that Camp Rock 3 is in the works at Disney. The sequel is reportedly being led by High School Musical: The Musical: The Series creator Tim Federle, with Fuller House writer Eydie Faye penning the script. While plot details remain under wraps, Production Weekly has the following synopsis on their website: "When a popular band needs to find a new opening act, they launch a contest to discover the next big musical talent." Richtman also states that one of the new characters in the movie, "Sage," is currently being cast as the next potential lead of the Camp Rock franchise.

It feels just like yesterday when Disney announced that a fifth Descendants movie was in the works, and now, the studio has announced that the movie has taken a major step on our screens. And while it feels like time flew, we didn't travel through time. Production on the movie began in April, and fast-forward to about two months later, filming has now wrapped. The update was announced in a video posted on the official Disney Instagram account.

The video features franchise stars Kylie Cantrall and Malia Baker dressed as themselves in the present day. After a brief introduction, Cantrall picks up the antique pocket watch that serves as a time travel machine in the movie. After both agree to use it, they are transformed into their respective characters, Princess Red and Princess Chloe. Surprised, they ask an unseen person, "What day is it?" and they get the response, "It's the last day of production.

Another anticipated Disney sequel has entered its post-production phase. Descendants: Wicked Wonderland has wrapped filming, sharing new behind-the-scenes images and videos to celebrate the occasion.

On the official Instagram account for the Descendants franchise, a video was shared showing Wicked Wonderland leads Kylie Cantrall and Malia Baker using the magic pocket watch to travel into "the future," which is actually the last day of production on the sequel. "That's a wrap!" reads the caption on the post, which includes several new behind-the-scenes photos featuring the cast and crew of the fifth Descendants movie.
