I don't know why I was even interested in the movie based on the title and the plot but it's sat in my to watch list for a while. Today I finally watched it, and I was so invested in these three guys and I don't know why. The movie was pretty funny, I didn't expect much out of it and I think that's what made it so good. The plot is basically three guys living their life, but they aren't the smartest people in the world. The guy with the beard reminds me of Zach galifianakis and he's probably made me laugh more than him. He's a loose Cannon and that's what makes these movies work. Without giving anything away it's not the best movie in the world, and it's not the worst movie in the world, but it's short entertaining. I laughed at the absurdity versus laughing at the writing most of the time. But that made everything work, so I can't hate that. If there was a sequel I'd watch it right now.
Well, what do we have here? As I write this, the rating is 8.6. That's the funniest thing here. Mustve taken the crew a while to keep voting this up themselves, as an 8.6 with just under 2k votes, 0 reviews, and an unheard of movie on Tubi has no other explanation.
I mean, look, there were a couple of laughs in this movie, but it's nowhere near an 8 point anything.
I'd usually give this kind of movie a 5.0. As in, it's ok, but nothing special. It's not something you'd watch again. But, for the attempt at trying to fool audiences into believing this an 8.6, you lose 3 stars automatically.
The plot is about 3.5 guys who do stupid things for each other, and a really unattractive guy plays his dream role of being a babe magnet. It wouldn't surprise me if he wrote the script, and this is his fantasy vanity project.
The vibe I get here is someone watched The Potato Men (2004) and thought it'd be great to make an American adoption, only the difference is its written by homosexuals trying to poke fun at heterosexual men and play it up. Not that I have anything against anyone's lifestyles, but it's hard to deny that the three main actors are really not into women as their hearts desire.
I can't say there's really anything memorable about this films story. It's not really made with any purpose other than trying to convince people they could create a feature-length movie, which they have succeeded in. There's nothing wrong with the filming, edits, cutting, lighting, audio, or anything. It's a compotent effort that doesn't scream unprofessional or amatuer.
It's the overall acting, plot, and script that's the weak part. Just seems to be mostly 2 boring guys, and 1 guy who was told to just adlib go nuts. Sometimes, he creates a laugh, but mostly just yelling out stupid things and insults comes off in the end as trying way too hard.
I can't say avoid it all costs, but it's also nothing you will kick yourself for skipping a watch.
