And in the end delivers so little would seem quite a rough resume of what was shown here
It seems there is a problem with the entire concept of series the entire system as opposed to film is predicated upon cliffhangers at the end of every episode moving you on to some new revelations or meaningful information thing is the format is practically unsustainable and very often you are let down because you cannot replicate many times this kind of heightened emotion and then keep it going it has to come down therefore it seems to me now having seen many series that the format the series format is unsustainable simply often doesn't work
Now here we have one of the best series I have seen ever the acting from the main actress and the supporting cast is nothing short of excellent but then at the end of episode 5 out of 6 you think some incredible revelations are going to be unveiled in episode six and then it falls down like a badly prepared soufflé
Like a pricked balloon being let down slowly I really thought we were gonna learn some incredible things about the characters about what happened about the reasons for the girl's death something about the father of the journalist but it seems everything deflates it is a really flaccid ending to an otherwise really well sustained storytelling
I keep saying I will stop watching series probably only ever seen two or three which could keep the interest alive all the way to the end and very often the storyline overall doesn't stand up to scrutiny here it's almost there but not quite; maybe something about writers about not enough time etc etc .... about rushing to get the product out ... anyway
Watch it though it is nicely done.
