Moving back home with his parents after a major upset in his life, trapped within the contentedness of suburbia, Sean is haunted by visions from his past and finds himself slowly becoming 'Mearcstapan'.
Unable to open up emotionally, Sean struggles to adjust to moving back home following a breakup. As he fails to see an immediate future for himself or purpose going forward, he begins to lose touch with his identity, becoming a faceless monster akin to the 'Mearcstapa' of Beowulf.
