Item tonight plastic bags Hilary Barry

I was very disappointed with the one sided view in this interview about plastic bags. Yes it may cost more to use alternatives but everyone should be responsible for the waste we produce. How much is it worth to stop whales dying because of all the plastic bags they are eating. Whales and other sea creatures are dying because of our use of plastic bags. What will happen in the future when the creatures in the sea becomes extinct!! The ocean will also become a Dead Sea, our food from the sea will not be eadable. Fish already have micro plastics in their bodies. Then we as humans will be eating plastic. Come on Hillary you can produce a better interview rather than siding with big business interests in the over use of plastic.. I did not enjoy your interview and many thousands of people will feel the same...Dianne anderson of Eltham, Taranaki

Lowest common denominator TV

While many stories have an interesting back-story, the way the show is presented and the cringey attempts at humour let it down immensely. The presenters are very strong-minded which seems to alienate everyone but a very narrow segment of society. Unfortunately, what could have been quite an insightful, thought-provoking show turns out to be nothing more than lowest common denominator TV. This seems to be reflected by its low IMDB score.

Fluff. No substance.

Just saw the head of a company called MyHR and no mention of the Great Resignation. Gym membership? NO! Higher wage, work from home, leaders not managers. Especially during an inflationary period. Wussy reporting.

Talking Tuis

Yes, Hilary, they do! I heard one many years ago, maybe 20, at the Mt Bruce Wildlife Centre near Masterton. It was a great talker but I imagine it is now dead too.
