Great show for the future of Ecosystem and economics

People dont realize logging is a dieing industry, that we need to survive... canada is over 80% woodlands and half of it is desolation of snow and uninhabitable, canada cities is very thinly spread out in this mass of woods, the second largest country in the world is mostly uninhabitable woods and snow, these people in the show work with the the natives to insure only to cut the rotting trees. Trees are a society on there own that talk from one forest end to the other letting it know disease is coming and to help protect itself from this eventual threat, rot spreads, and they fly high in helicopters looking for specific tree's not just any tree. But a specific type and the natives give the ok, if no ok no cut.... People that complain about this show for green purposes are uneducated Nancie's... society needs this. This profession needs to continue.. the natives in the 1800 cut trees and did control burns in order to maintain the forests growth. This is no different, cut a few trees to save a forest. While giving a country economic resources. This show is not just entertaining but it is drastic to the future of the Canadian economy. We all cant be welders, influencers and desk jockies, society needs loggers. Society needs this show to bring awareness to people who might not otherwise know...that logging is there calling.

Could be better.

The show seems to be fading fast. It Has potential but they are trying to make things dramatic that simply aren't. Maybe they should show more behind the scenes footage. Log count per day. Dragging the logs downhill to the landings. How many truckloads? Loading from truck to the barge. Trips up River and show the Mill where they payoff actually happens $$$. You guys are missing a golden opportunity here. Years ago, there were similar low budget logging shows on another small network that were far better. Ax-Men was good and ran for many seasons. Come on Discovery, you can do better. Even Swampmen was better scripted.

Woodsmen cuts an impressive path

This show hits from so many angles.

It's exciting to see a behind-the-scenes look at an industry that has built so many communities in the Pacific Northwest. The beauty and power of the massive forests is a stunning backdrop for the real human drama that has played out in each episode. Jared and his crew seem like guys from next door out there pulling off some impressively daring feats. Their interactions seem authentic and are often hilarious. In an environment with so much on the line, where anything can go wrong, these woodsmen impress with their quick thinking, and resilience. Can't wait to see what happens next!

Awesome show, disregard the naysayers!

Working forests are the best forest. Previous reviews state that they show forest devastation. It just goes to show how inaccurate there reviews and knowledge are. From personal experience their views are completely inaccurate and nonsense from these uneducated type of people. Mind you they probably left those reviews while sitting in there wooden houses leaning on their wood frame chair! Goes to show ya the IQ level haha. Anyhow, i give the show and the logging industry a 10/10 and nothing less. Logging is essential to BC and the world. It's one of the most important industries in Canada by far. 10/10 Get that wood to beach!

What an Amazing Show

Finally a show that touches on Real Life. This show is as good as Gold Rush, i cannot wait for each new episode.

I loved how these guys are so down to earth, they put their lives on the line. I also love how all the players care about the environment, especially Jared. Wood is a part of our lives, it builds homes, boats, furniture, wood is a part of our everyday lives and i think it is great that we get to see it all happening..

If the people giving the bad reviews, complaining about deforestation etc. Don't live in houses with wood floors then i guess its okay for them to be such haters ... otherwise what are you complaining about, hypocrites!

Best Display Of Sustainable stump to dump logging

Awesome show. Not much else to be said, watching these guys do what they do safely, professionally, and sustainably is a priceless opportunity, I suggest everyone give it a watch!! Was awesome to see not just the logging/falling portions but the booming, trucking, equipment & barge moves, mechanics, and all other pieces of the puzzle. It really shows how many people it truly takes to accomplish this job of getting logs to the beach, all hands on deck is an understatement.

The naysayers in these reviews have no clue what they're talking about, misinformation, miseducation, and ignorance at its finest. Look forward to the finale!!

New Discovery Show- Must Watch

From the very first episode, The Last Woodsmen hooks you with its breathtaking cinematography that captures both the beauty and the peril of the forest. The show doesn't just focus on the physicality of logging, but also the emotional and mental toll it takes on the workers especially owner Jared Douglas.

What sets The Last Woodsmen apart from other reality-based shows is its commitment to authenticity. The show doesn't glamorize the logging industry; instead, it dives deep into the challenges, risks, and rewards of the profession.

Its enjoyable to see real men at work in an industry that they love. I'm hooked and can't wait to watch more!

Must-Watch Amazing Show

This show is a must-watch for anyone who appreciates real, hard-working folks putting it all on the line. It gives us a front-row seat to the dangerous world of big timber logging, and boy, does it deliver!

Jared Douglas and his crew are the real deal. These guys aren't afraid to get their hands dirty to make an honest living, and it's refreshing to see. The risks they take are jaw-dropping - one wrong move could cost them everything, but they face it head-on with grit and determination.

What really stands out is how much Jared cares for his crew. He's not just a boss; he's a leader who looks out for his people. It's clear these guys are like family, working together in some of the most remote and treacherous conditions imaginable.

The show busts a lot of myths about logging too. Did you know they plant three trees for every one they cut? These guys are actually helping to maintain healthy forests by harvesting huge end of life cycle trees before they fall naturally. It's not just about making money; it's about responsible forestry.

And let's talk about those trees - we're talking massive timber worth up to $70,000 each! The skill and precision it takes to fell these giants is nothing short of impressive.

The cinematography is top-notch, capturing the raw beauty and danger of the wilderness. You can almost feel the spray of sawdust and hear the thunderous crash of falling timber.

It's more than just a show; it's a tribute to the unsung heroes who risk it all to bring us the wood we use every day. God bless these hardworking men and women, including the brave camera crew. Here's hoping they all stay safe out there in the wild.

Best on the coast

Awesome show Can't wait for every episode These guys are legendary. Grew up in a logging camp so brings back so many memories. Remember you live in wood houses and everything is recycled and replanted Everything dies Its all one circle of life Love watching them bring back the abandoned machinery and give it new life as well Being able to relate where they are and seeing new areas for me is the icing on the cake These locations are remote and rugged Places that only a small amount will ever get to see.

The process of getting the trees down in one piece is fascinating and brings a whole new appreciation for the skill of hand falling.

Amazing and informative show

From the very beginning of the series I was hooked, Jared does a great job showing the world on how hard yet rewarding this industry is!!

Just an honest hard working family man trying his best to make it in the industry, it's absolutely insane to see such an in depth documentary showing how hard his men work in the dangerous and deadly conditions. I have never been more excited for another episode and I truly hope there's more then one season to come, I will forever be a fan. Anyone who doesn't care for logging will sure have a change of heart after watching this series, showing how much they work with First Nations and the regulations of the industry.

Discovery's New Epic Job Show

I don't get these one-star reviews. Are people just hating on it 'cause it's about logging? That's not fair.

I thought this show was actually really good. It's not fake drama - you get to see what these guys really do. It's cool seeing how they cut down these remote trees and use all the big machines. Bet most people have no idea where wood comes from.

Sure, logging might not be everyone's thing, but that doesn't make it a bad show. It's interesting to see what these guys go through every day. They are super remote. Living in floating camps. Cut off from civilization.

If you like shows about cool jobs like fishing, gold mining, etc., this is up your alley. You should give this a shot. Don't let those one-star reviews fool you; they're probably from people who didn't even watch it. The show itself is great.

Awesome

This show's the real deal. If you're into stuff like Deadliest Catch or Gold Rush, you gotta check this out.

They're really getting into the process of logging like I've never seen before. These guys take big risks for what they do. I had no idea what it takes to do what they do. Seeing them cut these big trees by hand and all the big machines are very cool.

Honestly, this show is good. It's got danger, cool characters, and it's just different from all the other stuff. Discovery Channel hasn't made a show like this for a while. It's great to see a new show that films another epic job like Deadliest Catch. Give it a shot. You won't be disappointed.

AMAZING! Must watch!

What an amazing job done showcasing a sustainable industry that supports our local economy.

This series highlights the true aspects of the industry and coastal logging. I hope everyone can put their anti logging mindsets aside and take this show as an opportunity to learn about an amazing industry. There is a very large misperception of logging...it isn't just cutting down trees, there is a lot of planning, precession and reforestation that take place. Watch and learn.

Jared and his team support our community in so many ways and we are all proud to know and work closely with the Cypress Creek team.

Great show love the machinery.

If you love crazy machinery and the most dangerous jobs this is the show for you.

This has it all.

Hand cutting monster trees that can blow apart, explosions, massive machine revivals, helicopters, tugboats, even crazy Geese and bear destruction. There are multiple crews in different locations ,a floating command center, tons of crazy machines. The guys/gals are all on point no needless drama and they all know how to do their job. The locations appear to be unpopulated they really are very far from civilization even have to build their own roads. They even do side missions with a Native Chief.

Def recommend...
