This dizi is spectacular. Beginning with the musical score to the amazing geography, ruins, ancient stone buildings, it takes you to another world. The acting of the case particularly the two leads is wonderful, their connection is palatable, consistently going beyond their scripted dialogue with their expressions and lingering camera shots of their looks.
The story of a woman who has been brought up in Canada after her parent's death, completes medical school, gets married, has a son, comes to the family of her deceased husband to the Albora lands of
Mardin. She is forced to stay in Mardin with her five year old son and then forced to marry his brother. Aya is one of the most wonderful female characters of any dizi. She exudes agency in everything she says and does. Chian is also an interesting man who has had to live only for this family with the burden of a hostile matriarch mother who is ruthless. Watching the attraction of the newly married couple is wild. They both repress their innate feelings with so much realism, and there are various back stories that keep coming up bringing more depth to the story. It is exciting and warm and a true thriller filled with history of a tribal Turkey that still exists.
