I don't really have much more to say than that. This was something a little different to break up the Hallmark movies and I laughed and enjoyed myself. There's lots of lovely scenery and a rapid journey through different modes of transportation and winter sports.
The main thing driving the story - his inability to get home - of course makes no sense, but that's made clear from the start. None of it is meant to be taken seriously.
I thought it was funny, and hopefully the kind of people who will enjoy it won't be dissuaded by the low rating. Why is everyone so hard on comedy? I think we need more of it.

We loved it - it's the kind of nonsense British humour that you would expect from Jack Whitehall. The Tom Davis section was our favourite.
It's not going to win any awards but it kept us smiling and laughing and was a nice easy watch.
Obviously it's semi-scripted but that's part of the fun of it.
I can't help but think that the grumpy miserable people who have reviewed it just don't understand daft humour, or British humour. If you're the sort of person who doesn't take themselves too seriously, and doesn't pick everything apart (and perhaps if you are not American!!) then you'll enjoy this.
Not particularly Christmassy but still a good watch!

I liked _Airplane!_ so I thought this was worth the time. Like _Airplane!_, et al., It's stupid and it's supposed to be stupid, so it tracks. Unfamiliar with most of the actors, I was drawn in by the simplicity. Is that really Michael Bublé'? Who the heck is Dave Bautista? Is Jack Whitehall a real person or fictional? It's as good as any mockumentary. I enjoy inside nods to other movies and breaking the fourth wall. Will I seek out other Jack Whitehall movies now? No, but at least now I know who he and the rest of the cast are. I think the introduction of the movie, where he goes to Bublé's house, is worth the price of admission alone.
If you want to annoy your Family this Christmas, welcome home. This abomination of a Holiday Special aimed to recreate some of the comedic holiday joy of movie classics like 'Planes Trains and Automobiles' but missed something .... Talent, humour, comedy, soul, a plot, and characters we could relate to. The only thing that could have salvaged this disaster was if Krampus had suddenly appeared and decapitated Jack Whitehall so we could all have a nice quiet Christmas without dealing with this insufferable inane twits rambling ......Congrats Jack you've made such a bad feature it'll be the topic of whats the worst movie of 2024 ......
I got suckered into this by my wife. I had also heard some people on the radio saying it was the new Die Hard (best Christmas movie of all time). It had a few funny gags, but overall not worth the time. I'd watch Die Hard any time before watching this again.
The part I found the most annoying was the guys wife responding to his texts. The plot was pretty dumb to start with and the things the guy did were pretty off topic. Everytime he would send his wife a tex about what was happening, she would send a reply that was really obnoxious instead of "that sounds like you are going through a lot to get home". Guess that hit a little too close to home.
