Luke constantly boasts about the many gunfighters with whom he has been acquainted, so much so that Pete decides he wants to strap on shootin' irons and become gunslinger, too. When Luke and Pete ride into a town and learn that John Wesley Hardin has taken over a gambling hall, Luke insists on meeting him and drags Luke along to introduce him.
