XYZ Films has hired Chloë Grace Moretz to star in serial killer thriller The Edge Of Normal marking the English-language debut of Piggy director Carolta Pereda, Screen has confirmed.

Production is scheduled to begin in spring on the adaptation of Carla Norton’s novel of the same name. The story follows Reeve LeClaire, who remains haunted from the time she was held captive as a teenager by a sadistic man, and is pulled into a game of cat-and-mouse when her psychiatrist asks her to mentor a newly rescued survivor.

The singer – known as a member of the hip-hop group The Sequence, the R&b group Vertical Hold and as a solo artist – was 63.

Angie‘s daughter Ladi Diamond confirmed the news and reacted in a series of posts on social media.

“My mommy is gone,” she wrote on Facebook. She noted that she was “feeling numb” and also acknowledged support that she and her family had been receiving.

“Thanks for the outpouring of love today,” she wrote. “I’m not taking any calls right now i need to decompress.”

A representative for the singer also confirmed the news with People. The outlet reported that she was involved in a crash with an 18-wheeler truck on March 1.

Angie‘s final studio album – Love Language – arrived in 2023. It was supported by singles “Kiss You,” “The Gym” and “Good Man.

Angie Stone — a member of the iconic musical trio the Sequence — has passed away. She was just 63 years old.

News of Stone’s passing comes courtesy of her rep Deborah R. Champagne, who also revealed the tragic circumstances under which the singer died.

According to Stone’s representative, the music legend was killed in a car accident after performing in Montgomery, Alabama Friday night.

Champagne says she spoke to Stone just hours before she passed away.

TMZ has reached out to Montgomery authorities seeking details about the crash, but thus far, the outlet has not received a response.

Angie Stone, the veteran R&b singer known for her songs “No More Rain (In This Cloud)” and “Wish I Didn’t Miss You,” has died at the age of 63.

According to TMZ, Stone was killed in a car crash after a concert in Montgomery, Alabama, early Saturday morning. She had been scheduled to perform in Baltimore later that day.

Stone first found success as a member of Sugar Hill Records’ hip-hop trio The Sequence, which scored a hit with “Funk You Up.” The song was later famously sampled by Bruno Mars on “Uptown Funk.”

EPs are Michael Sagol of Caviar and Tyson Bidner. Caviar has also arranged the financing of the production. CAA Media Finance is repping the U.

We have confirmed that 1883 actress Isabel May is definitely playing the daughter of Neve Campbell’s Sidney Prescott in Spyglass Media Group’s upcoming Scream 7. The deal is locked, I’m told.

May has made a big splash for herself as Elsa Dutton in the Yellowstone prequel Paramount+ series, 1883. She also went on to play the character in its continuation series, 1923.

The latest Scream continues on with original Og castmembers Campbell, natch, but also Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers. Jenna Ortega and Melissa Barrera, who both made waves in the last two movies, 2022’s Scream and Scream VI, aren’t starring in the latest iteration as previously reported. Ortega exited due to her busy schedule on Wednesday among other projects. Barrera was fired last year after her social media posts centering around the Israel-Hamas war.

Paramount is releasing the seventhquel, just like it did with the last two movies.

Exclusive: After signing on to a handful of promising indies, 1883 breakout Isabel May has come aboard to star opposite Past Lives‘ Teo Yoo in Karoshi, the mysterious action thriller that Takashi Doscher wrote and will direct for Lionsgate.

May’s role is being kept under wraps, as is the plot of the film, which is described as a corporate thriller with a samurai twist. 87Eleven Entertainment’s Chad Stahelski, Alex Young, and Jason Spitz will produce as one of the first projects through their first-look production deal with Lionsgate.

Best known for her breakout role of Elsa Dutton in Taylor Sheridan’s Western drama 1883, which she reprised as narrator of 1923 — another of Sheridan’s prequels to hit Paramount+ series Yellowstone — May is coming off of a role in Apple TV+’s starry miniseries Masters of the Air.
