Has Parineeti Chopra lost it?
Before your imagination starts running wild, let us put it straight that we are talking about the bubbly and bindaas Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra losing her weight.

Though she has always maintained that her weight has never made her conscious and she is proud of the way she is, the pretty actress, who was looking all golu-polu post her last film Daawat-e-ishq seems to have lost those extra pounds. Pari had shared a few of her photos from the Iifa 2015 event in which she was looking relatively thin.

If we go to compare both the photos, Parineeti looks a lot thinner in the black gown (which is a recent picture) than the photo which is from one promotional event of Daawat-e-ishq.

From her face to her waist, we can see a comparative difference in the two photos!

Well, now that she is almost back in shape, we hope she's back...

Release of Kunal Kohlis Phir Se delayed by court
Kunal Kohli
Earlier this year, filmmaker Kunal Kohli found himself embroiled in a legal battle with writer Jyoti Kapoor, after the latter claimed that that Kunal's forthcoming film Phir Se had been plagiarized from her work. In the ensuing battle the verdict kept tilting, but never settling the issue. Now we hear that the court has ruled to delay the release of the film till a final verdict is reached. Tweeting about the same Kunal Kohli posted, "What I have learnt from this experience is that the free exchange of ideas is no longer permissible and I would go a step further to say it expressly prohibited. The debate on copyright and plagiarism is settled, it is neither. The industry has to move towards a more closed and protective environment with regards to work in progress. What is left to be decided is merely one principal aspect, what is the value of...

Bollywood churns out on average 120 plus films a year, with 2014 reaching 142. So to think all of them will go down in history as being successful is rather naive. Kunal Kohli - Jyoti Kapoor plagiarism case has turned in latters favour
Jyoti Kapoor, co-writer of Daawat-e-Ishq, was miffed when she saw the First Look of the film called Phir Se and accused Kunal Kohli of plagiarism. In fact, Jyoti even filed a complaint with the Fwa (Film Writer's Association) alleging that Kunal had copied the story she had written a year ago. And now, it seems that the Dispute Settlement Committee of the association has passed the judgment in favour of Jyoti. Jyoti Kapoor, who is thrilled about it not only expressed her happiness but even claimed that justice has prevailed. From what we hear, it seems, that some aspects of Kunal's script bear a resemblance to Jyoti's, and considering that the two met a year ago, and Kunal had access to the latter's script, the committee decided that filmmaker Kohli's work was influenced by Jyoti's script. Apparently, Jyoti had registered the script with Fwa and had presented it to Kohli...

Aditya Roy Kapur in a depression after Daawat-e-Ishq
Aditya Roy Kapoor

He can't handle any kind of emotional upheaval. When it happens, he tends to withdraw from all social communication with friends and family. He likes to deal with a situation such as this on his own." Parineeti Chopra says Daawat-e-Ishq is a celebration of Love and Food
Gastronomic love stories are a rarity in Bollywood and Daawat-e-Ishq is one of those rare films on the subject, with the film’s lead actress, Parineeti Chopra, describing it as a full on celebration of food and love. Praising the plot, she says, “Though food plays an important part in Daawat-e-Ishq, it is at the end of the day a love story. Daawat-e-Ishq is a celebration of love and food, love for food, love over food.”

Explaining why we don’t tend to see many Indian films on the subject of food she adds, “It all happens in good time. We can’t have films about food just for the heck of it. There has to be a proper story to tell because it stretches to a two-and-a-half-hour of playing time. Though food plays an important part in Daawat-e-Ishq, it is at the end of the day a love story.

Parineeti Chopra’s challenging sequence in Daawat-e-Ishq
Parineeti Chopra will be seen driving an original Impala model from the year 1964 in Yash Raj Films’ next, Daawat-e-Ishq. To get used to the vehicle, the actress had to practice behind the wheel for a couple of hours before shooting for the scene.

The original Impala has mechanical settings that render the car extremely heavy, unlike the usual power steering cars. This made it tricky for Parineeti to drive the car effortlessly and the entire sequence proved a heavy-duty challenge for the actress, requiring her to put in a lot of muscle while making it look natural.

The actress loves driving cars but she admits the Impala was a tough one, despite previously having handled a jeep in Ishaqzaade. In addition to mastering the Impala, the film required numerous other exciting challenges for Parineeti, not least of all learning fluent Urdu.

Parineeti Chopra’s challenging sequence in Daawat-e-Ishq is a...

Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa – Teen Ka Tadka aur Dawaat-e-Ishq!
Saturday’s Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa opened with hosts Ranvir and Manish explaining this weeks ‘Teen Ka Tadka’ concept in their typical style!

Judge Remo then performed his version of Teen Ka Tadka along side Lauren Gottlieb and choreographer Salman Khan. Their act was based on a particular scene from Hindi mythology ‘Ramayan’ where judge Remo played the role of Raavan who was trying to kidnap Sitaji (played by Lauren) and the old vulture Jatayu who tried to save Sitaji was played by Salman. Their song reflected the religious theme of their act. It truly was a spell binding performance and it gave the audience a clear reflection as to what todays acts would be like.

It was then time to welcome the special guests on stage who would form the Teen Ka Tadka. Sana Saeed, Faisal, Dadi from Comedy Nights with Kapil, Krystle D’Souza, Mukti Mohan and Ellie Avram were all welcomed on stage.

Habib Faisal
Aditya Roy Kapur puts on weight for Daawat-e-Ishq wants to lose it for Fitoor
Habib Faisal
If you are finding Aditya Roy Kapur to be a tad bulkier when compared to his Aashiqui 2 days, there is a reason behind that. From playing an alcoholic in the Mohit Suri film, a part which required him to turn weaker with every passing episode, it was a much happier environment that he found himself in during the making of Habib Faisal's Daawat-e-Ishq. Reason being that he is playing the role of a chef, something which by default brought him much closer to food than ever before.

Confirms a close associate of the actor, "Yes, he has put on 8 kgs during the making of the film and that too in a very quick time. In fact he never even got an opportunity to get rid of any weight whatsoever since there are many scenes in the film that require him to eat. At times, he was even eating...

Saif Ali Khan
Saif Ali Khan-Parineeti Chopra film put on hold
Saif Ali Khan
Parineeti Chopra is an ardent fan of Saif Ali Khan and when she was offered a film opposite her favourite actor, she readily jumped at the opportunity. However, Parineeti may be disappointed to hear that her film with Saif Ali Khan has been currently put on hold. The film in question was also the directorial debut of Saif's business partner (Illuminati Films) Dinesh Vijan, however, now the production house has decided to wait before the film goes on floors. The reason is that Saif Ali Khan is currently busy with other Bollywood commitments. In fact, during the auspicious occasion of Eid, Saif ended up working for his upcoming film in London instead of spending it with his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan. With the actor juggling between many films, Saif Ali Khan revealed that his film is currently on hold. Saif Ali Khan is currently shooting for Kabir Khan's Phantom...

Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor in Milan Talkies
Aditya Roy Kapoor
While Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor won hearts with their onscreen chemistry in Mohit Suri's Aashiqui 2, they are all set to recreate the same with Tigmanshu Dhulia's Milan Talkies. The film which was on hold after many actors walked out of the project, has finally found the leads in Aditya and Shraddha. Prior to this, the original casting decision was to bring together the duo of Imran Khan and Priyanka Chopra. However, Imran Khan walked out of the film owing to his differences with Ekta Kapoor after the Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbai Dobaara! debacle and later, Priyanka Chopra too decided to quit the film. Post that, Shahid Kapoor was taken on board and later, Tigmanshu Dhulia even confirmed Varun Dhawan's presence during an interview after the release of Saif Ali Khan - Sonakshi starrer Bullett Raja. However, it seems none of these associations seem to have worked out.

Aditya Roy Kapur observed Roza on last day of Ramzan
Aditya Roy Kapoor
Bollywood and divine faith always go hand in hand. While many stars visit temples and dargahs to pray for the success of the films, Aditya Roy Kapur had a different way of worshipping this year. Since his film Daawat-e-Ishq is due for release soon, he observed Roza this year, as he plays a Muslim guy in the film. Even though he decided to keep Roza this year, he was unsure because it is a very stringent fast without water. After getting the details of the fast from his Muslim friends, he went ahead with his Roza on the last day of Ramzan. Even though it was a difficult day, but he managed to observe the fast. What really surprised him is that his friends and family sent him fruits, delicacies and specially cooked homemade dishes for Iftaari. Aditya Roy Kapur, who was totally moved touched by their gesture, chose to...

Fab Films to look out for in the rest of 2014
More than half of 2014 has past and many of the most awaited films of the year have already been released, with more or less success in the box office. But there are many months left until the end of the year and B-town is finalizing a bunch of new films to entertain the audience.

Here’s a selection of films to be released during the rest of 2014:

Kick

Producer Sajid Nadiadwala’s directorial debut is the major release of this year’s Eid, which features Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Randeep Hooda and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead roles. The remake of a Telugu film of the same name, Kick tells the story of Devi (Khan), a man who lives only for his ‘Kick’ aka an adrenaline rush, and who will eventually become a thief. Daawat-e-Ishq Music Review
Daawat-e-Ishq not only features the brand new jodi of Aditya Roy Kapoor (Aashiqui 2) and Parineeti Chopra (Ishaqzaade) but sees Sajid-Wajid (Dabangg) composing their first Yash Raj venture. Needless to say, music enthusiasts are curious to see what is in stock for us from this unlikely merger.

Daawat-e-Ishq’s songs have been penned by Kausar Munir while vocalists featured on the soundtrack include Sonu Nigam (‘Abhi Mujhme Kahin’ – Agneepath), Javed Ali (‘Tera Deedar Hai’ – Jannat 2), Sunidhi Chauhan (‘Sheila Ki Jawaani’ – Tees Maar Khan), Shreya Ghoshal (‘Chikni Chameli’ – Agneepath), Shalmali Kholgade (‘Pareshaan’ – Ishaqzaade) and Wajid (‘Jalwa’ – Wanted).

The title track opens the soundtrack and is an energetic qawaali/electronica by Javed Ali and Sunidhi Chauhan. Ali and Chauhan make a brilliant pair and complement the lyrical back and forth well. Munir’s expert grasp of Urdu is only surpassed by his impressive culinary innuendos. All in all, a powerful start to the soundtrack.

Aditya Roy Kapoor
After Marathi Ayushmann learns Bhojpuri for his next
Aditya Roy Kapoor
Every Yashraj hero seems to be mastering one accent or the other. While Aditya Roy Kapur desperately grappled with the Urdu in Habib Faisal's Daawat-e-Ishq, Sushant Singh Rajput is trying to sound as Bengali as he can in Dibakar Bannerjee's Detective Byomkesh. Ayushmann Khurrana who had to learn Marathi for Vibhu Puri's Bambai Fairytale is on to a difference tongue-trip now. Ayushmann is getting a hang of the Bhojpuri of his naïve-as-hell character from Hardwar in Sharat Katariya's Dum Laga Ke Haisha. Says a source close to the project, "The film is being shot in Hardwar. Ayushmann plays a simpleton named Prem and his very clever wife is played by newcomer Bhumi Pednekar. Ayushman's Prem is nothing like Salman Khan's Prem in Sooraj Barajatya's films. Ayushmann is modelled on Raj Kapoor in Shri 420. He is naïve and lacks worldly wisdom to the point of being a social misfit.

Parineeti Chopra: ‘No Khan’ policy is untrue
Parineeti Chopra has recently made headlines for saying that she did not wish to work with any of the Khans, referring to Shahrukh, Salman and Aamir.

In an interview she recently granted to a magazine, the actress was reported to say that her character will have “nothing to do” in a movie co-starring one of the Khans. Reactions were immediate and the media was quickly filled with articles quoting her words and even questioning whether it was the right move for her career considering that has only done four films so far. Some even sarcastically suggested her to look for her cousin Priyanka Chopra’s advice!

It seems that this statement is not entirely accurate, and the actress decided to address the controversy during the launch of Yash Raj’s fashion store Diva’ni last Thursday. “I would just like to clarify a bit on that (what I said in...

The team was very happy to have shot there.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali
Ranveer to get Marathi tutor to prepare for Bajirao Mastani
Sanjay Leela Bhansali
It seems every young actor is doing an accent. While Aditya Roy Kapoor had to work really hard on his Urdu diction in Habib Faisal's Daawat-e-Ishq, Ayushmann Khurrana and Sushant Singh Rajput have been practising their Marathi and Bangla for their respective characters in Vibhu Puri's Mumbaai Fairytale and Dibakar Bannerjee's Detective Byomkesh Bakshy respectively. Ranveer Singh who sported a dead-on Gujarati diction in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram Leela won't find it that easy to sail through the dialogues of Slb's historical Bajirao Mastani. The fastidious filmmaker and his dialogue writer Prakash Kapadia have decided to zeroin on a Marathi tutor for Ranveer to hone his Marathi skills. Says a source close to Sanjay Leela Bhansali, "Ranveer would have to get his language and diction completely right. The director doesn't want a hue and cry over the language being mis-pronounced. Ranveer is already familiar...

Shah Rukh Khan
Parineeti not signed opposite Shah Rukh for Fan
Shah Rukh Khan
All speculations can well be put to rest. Parineeti Chopra would have to wait before she is seen on the big screen with Shah Rukh Khan. Though ever since the announcement of Fan, there were rumours of the two being paired opposite each other, unfortunately this has turned out to be, well, just plain rumours.

"In fact if you see an official communication from Yash Raj Films around the cast of Fan, there is no mention of a leading lady out there. Otherwise they never keep any suspense around their cast and crew. If Parineeti was in the film, her name would have been announced," informs our source.

Rumours started catching heat especially after it was announced that Fan would be directed by Maneesh Sharma. Since the filmmaker's last two films - Shuddh Desi Romance and Ladies v/s Ricky Bahl - have both featured Parineeti while producer Aditya Chopra...
