Way to many opportunities squandered.

This movie starts of with what appears to be a golden opportunity for fan service with Valerie in the shower apparently really working those hard to reach places. As we watch right through to completion, we are left with only our imagination to fill those gaps. This perfectly sets the tone for the restnof the movie. Where we are forced to time and againbuild up our expectations for that elusive side nipple or possibly even hinted pelvic fuss. Only to be disheartened again and again. Even when our main source of these post pubescent longings engages in 1 after 1 after 1 after1 night stands.

Now. All things being said. If you can ignore the terrible editing of scenes, and audio that skips regularly, this had a chance at a good story and audience relation. But maybe in the remake in ten year, like so many other films, they might get it better.

An honest film

This film deserves more of an in depth review than what I have time to give it at the moment. But I couldn't pass it by without saying anything.

Endearing characters, honest understated acting, and a story that a you ger audience can relate to (first love lost).

The psychiatrist is wonderful. You get a true sense of caring and love from her. A bit of the same from the father. Friends react realistically to the main protagonists reaction to trauma, rejection, and lost love.

Wish it had ended on a higher note, but certainly a possible direction for this particular character.
