Watched the Odia film "Khoka Bhai Tama pain". Girish Mohanty has taken over the direction of the film while Bhardwaj Panda and Mitrabhanu Mohanty have penned the story. Akshay Mohanty's songs have been used in the film. Although the name of the film contains Akshay Mohanty's name but the film is not his biopic but it is a symbolic representation of how the love life of a man affected through Khoka Bhai's songs. The film is made eyeing on the current generation of youngsters. Upasana has done justice to her character in the film and keeps the audience hooked to the performance till the end. Saroj Parida and Manisha have performed brilliantly. Swaraj has also done a good job but as the lead character I was expecting more from him. The story, dialogues, cinematography of the film are powerful aspects of it. The casting is also very good. At the same time, there was a need to pay attention to some aspects of the film. Like having a full song at short intervals and giving less time to some of the strongest scenes in the film. It is the story of the film that plays a major role in it. The story continues to keep the audience hooked till the end and the story maintains its momentum from beginning to end. Among the Odia films I have seen in the last few years, "Khoka Bhai Tama Pain" is one such film that will not disappoint you. If the production house had given a little more importance to the promotion of the film before its release, it would have gained even more popularity.
