Bhojpuri movie industry should focus on making such good movies with a strong plot and clean dialogues. Kariyatthi (2025) has a deeply true plot. The story revolves around two very deep rooted problems : Color based biasness and biasness based on the gender of an unborn child. The whole story has the sheer reflection of the bad in the society and is presented in the most beautiful manner. All the actors are truly talented especially Annu Priya, a benevolent performer.
The story will not bore you at any point and is very gripping. The songs are mostly the folk songs of Bihar and are so beautifully sung.
Kudos to the whole team for an incredible movie. All the very best for the success.

Happened to spend my Sunday afternoon watching Kariyatthi based on a friend's recommendation. Plotline explores a pan India prejudice that unfortunately prevails on both the female gender and dark skin tone. A very good movie representation of what is an abject travesty where people are not judged on the basis of their character but on their physical appearances and gender. We need more thought provoking cinema as this mentioned movie to show a mirror to indian society at large where irrespective of social and economic standing the preferences for a light skin toned male child is the wishlist of majority of families. When India cherishes the female child and innately appreciates dark as beautiful is when our country has attained freedom from prejudices truly. Well done movie producers, director and cast. Two hrs well spent.
