I watched the movie...really enjoyed it...I overlooked the religious undertones cos the plot was engrossing...the acting was decent and believable.... I saw there's episodes of a series out as well.... I thought 'Oh goodie'...but wait...I must join some Angel Network...subscribe and such....but wait...I'm in Cape Town...South Africa...I can't join...Just let me watch the goddamn stuff man...you think it's gonna make me pine over your show...it's gonna make me lose interest more like it....in this day-and-age with so many choices.... I'll soon forget...You have a fantastic show...now stop with the circus please.

I liked the movie so moved on to the series and I was into it till you get to the third episode. Wait for it... they only made two of the six episodes and then they want you to donate?? I have always felt god tug on my heart but this disappointed me so much that it's once again about money and the handouts. Get it together and finish it or cancel it.

I watched a few of the other shows on under the Angel banner and they all seem to be pretty good but it's not all about a glaring light of Jesus Christ. Let's show the world how amazing God is without the bombardment of the same old story. In this series there would be a lot more death and destruction than it's possible to imagine.

Has a decent storyline that had us hooked. But it's smothered with religion themes. Turned us right off. Then they try to convince you the third episode can't be produced without your contribution. Like they haven't finished all the episodes with the money they clearly have to pay all these high profile actors. Give me a break. Cancelling the 'subscription' or however they're trying to sell it. It's too bad because we probably would have binge watched the first season. They keep you hooked one episode to the next. Including the bait they give you with the 'movie'. Dont waste your money. Disappointing.

Got to be honest, I'm thoroughly puzzled why so many of these reviews are negative towards a faith-based series... It's on Angel Studios: a faith-based streaming app.

I loved the movie! And I absolutely love the show!! If I could leave 15 stars I would! I love the character progressions from movie to series. And I'm especially grateful for a movie - turned - series with strong faith roots. There are so many secular shows and movies out there with death and empty "promises of hope" that they're suffocatingly depressing and sad - there is no real hope without Jesus. Now the faith community finally has a high-quality series with high profile actors that leaves the viewer wanting more. Can't wait for episodes three through six!!

This is terrible after the quality of the movie. You feel you HAVE to move on to the series because the movie just... ends. Don't fall for the trap! This may be the worst movie follow up ever. Angel Studios took me with the movie!!!!! The actors in the show are not the same as the movie and 'kids' now look like adults. All of a sudden there are huts and solar panels on the homestead... where did this stuff come from? The movie was very easy to believe in, the show not so much. Also, the show became so much about God and the Bible that is was hard to watch. Why the change and why not make the movie a closed loop since it was so good?
