The upcoming film Mononoke the Movie Trilogy: Chapter 2: The Ashes of Rage is heating up, with its official social media account revealing fresh details. The latest update includes new cast members, a striking main visual, and a trailer that gives us a deeper look into what’s coming.
Set to hit Japanese theaters on March 14, this second installment continues the Mononoke saga, following up on Mononoke The Movie: Phantom in the Rain, which premiered in July 2024. The first film, which is streaming on Netflix, took home the Axis: Satoshi Kon Award for Excellence in Animation at last year’s Fantasia International Film Festival.
The new cast lineup includes Ryō Horikawa as Fujimaki, Naomi Kusumi as Katsunuma, Yoshiko Sakakibara as Suikōin, Yukana as Sayo, and Atsumi Tanezaki as Sachiko. Previously announced additions include Chō as Yoshimichi Tokita and Kenyuu Horiuchi as Rōjū Ōtomo.

Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson are returning to the road this summer to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the Outlaw Music Festival, and they’re bringing along Sheryl Crow, Wilco, Billy Strings, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, the Avett Brothers, Lake Street Dive, Waxahatchee, Lucinda Williams, Bruce Hornsby & the Noisemakers, and more to join them at various stops along the way. The 35-date tour kicks off May 13 in Phoenix and wraps up Sept. 19 in East Troy, Wisconsin. Ticket sales begin Feb. 7.

Don Toliver surprised fans in Los Angeles at the Crypto.com Arena last night, when Justin Bieber showed up during his performance while Toliver was performing their collaboration “Private Landing.” The song, which also features Future, appears on the rapper’s 2023 studio album, Love Sick.
