Charlie Cox Teases Unique Twist in ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 2: “It is Unique To Our Show”

‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 2 has finished filming, and fans have already gotten a peek at what’s coming thanks to leaks from the set. One of the biggest teasers was Daredevil’s black suit with the red D&d logo. At Galaxy Con, Charlie Cox, who plays Matt Murdock/Daredevil, talked about what makes this season’s suits special.

Charlie Cox Accidentally Reveals Devastating ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Update

Charlie Cox has accidentally delivered some heartbreaking news for fans of Daredevil: Born Again. While speaking at a panel during a recent conference, Cox seemed to confirm that the upcoming second season of the Marvel series will also be the show’s final season.

Former Marvel stars spotted near MCU set sparking comeback speculation
Image
Who doesn't love it when a character we thought was long gone makes a Marvel Cinematic Universe comeback? Fortunately, we've seen many of those moments in the last few years. Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's Peter Parkers suited up once again in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Wesley Snipes' Blade and Jennifer Garner's Elektra teamed up with an unlikely group of Mutants in Deadpool & Wolverine, and Matt Murdock swung onto the small screen yet again thanks to Daredevil: Born Again.

The Devil of Hell's Kitchen has been at the center of many discussions lately. For starters, fans feel hopeful that he could have a proper team-up with Tom Holland's Spider-Man, as hinted by an easter egg hidden in Born Again. Furthermore, we're all glad that he'll finally sport the "Dd" logo in his suit, as revealed by some exhilarating set photos. Last, but certainly not least, we're excited...

Daredevil: Born Again’s near-perfect season 1 is missing one major piece
Image
It might’ve taken seven years to get there, but finally, Charlie Cox has been able to continue his legacy as Daredevil in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Following the unceremonious cancellation of Netflix’s Daredevil series and the rest of the ‘Defenders’ shows, fans were left twiddling their thumbs and waiting for the rights to expire to see whether any of the old guard would leap into the MCU. Our prayers were answered when the Man Without Fear finally popped up in Spider-Man: No Way Home, with beefed-up appearances in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and Echo. Although 2021’s Hawkeye sowed the seeds of a full Daredevil revival, we had to wait until March 2025 for Daredevil: Born Again to be born again.

There was a time when no one was sure what was going to happen with Daredevil and the rest of the Defenders, and while it was always likely that...

Daredevil: Born Again season 2 release window confirmed
Image
Just when we thought New York couldn't get any more violent, we were all proven wrong. The finale of Daredevil: Born Again is finally here, and it delivers some of the most gruesome moments in the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe. It's hard to imagine things get any better going forward now that the Kingpin of crime is taking advantage of his position as Mayor to do anything he wants. He blackmailed the City Council, willingly created a blackout in the entire city, laundered money, and created a Task Force that operates above the law to do his every bidding. The worst part? This is just the beginning.

Fortunately, Daredevil will stop at nothing to reclaim his city and save as many lives as he can in the process. Thanks to an explosive series finale, expectations are at an all-time high for The Man Without Fear to return to the small...

Daredevil: Born Again finale brings a new Kingpin to the MCU
Image
Putting the ‘hell’ in Hell’s Kitchen, a horned menace has risen from the ashes of Netflix’s short-lived Daredevil series, finally bringing Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe on a (hopefully) more permanent basis. Mixing together fresh and familiar faces, Daredevil: Born Again reunited a core cast of Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, and Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle/the Punisher with newcomers like Kamar de los Reyes’ Hector Ayala/White Tiger, Genneya Walton’s Bb Urich, and Hunter Doohan’s unhinged Muse.

Climbing her way to the top of the ensemble was Ayelet Zurer reprising her role as Vanessa Fisk. The Netflix era Vanessa already showed she was more than just a mild-mannered art dealer, previously teasing her darker side when she had FBI Special Agent Ray Nadeem (Jay Ali) whacked because he threatened her husband’s criminal enterprises. Old habits die hard,...

Daredevil: Born Again Star Vincent D'Onofrio On That Scene, Whether Being President Is Fisk's Endgame, More
Image
While there was never really any doubt that Wilson Fisk became New York's Mayor for his own nefarious means, last night's Daredevil: Born Again season 1 finale wasted no time reminding us just how evil the Kingpin of Crime is.

With Commissioner Gallo looking to take Fisk down, he's apprehended by the Anti-Vigilante Task Force, and as they watch on, the villain crushes the downed cop's head with his bare hands.

Variety recently caught up with Vincent D'Onofrio and asked for his take on that gruesome kill. "I immediately started discussing ways with our producers and special effects crew that we could block the scene so that it helped execute the way I was thinking about physically making it happen," he explained. "We figured it out: We did do something that feels different than what people have seen before when it comes to stuff like that."

As for what it means from a storytelling perspective,...

'Daredevil: Born Again's Vincent D'Onofrio Teases 'Shadowland' for Season 2
Image
Warning: This article contains minor spoilers for the Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 FinaleDaredevil: Born Againhas only just aired its explosive finale, but fans are already looking ahead to Season 2, which was confirmed last August and is scheduled to debut on Disney+ in 2026. Vincent D'Onofrio, who plays Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin in the MCU, has added fuel to the Hell's Kitchen fire by offering a small hint of what's to come in the next batch of episodes and suggesting that there might be some truth to the rumors that the series will adapt Marvel Comics' controversial Shadowland storyline in its sophomore run.

Variety specifically asked D'Onofrio whether fans can expect to see the 2010 comic book storyline Shadowland play out in Season 2, following leaked set photos that showed Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, wearing what appeared to be an upgraded superhero suit, prompting speculation about the possible story implications of that wardrobe change.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2- Moon Knight, Jessica Jones and 3 Other MCU Heroes Who Can Join Charlie Cox to Fight Kingpin
Image
Spoiler Alert !!!Spoilers ahead for Daredevil: Born Again

The season finale of Daredevil: Born Again sees Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock face not just his demons, but also a political attack on vigilantes from Mayor Wilson Fisk. The Mayor declares martial law in the city with the Anti-Vigilante Task Force being given a free rein over the law and order in the city, after imprisoning Fisk’s biggest opponents.

In the season finale, Matt Murdock and Karen Page conclude that they need to build an army to take on Fisk and his militia. While the ‘army’ currently includes a few good cops, Cherry, and possibly Angela Del Toro, and meets Daredevil at Josie’s, the second season would be legendary if they got heroes like Moon Knight to come in to take on Fisk.

‘Daredevil’ Star Vincent D’Onofrio on Kingpin’s ‘Brutal’ Head-Smashing Finale, Punisher Rematch and a ‘Shadowland’ Season 2
Image
Spoiler Alert: This article contains major spoilers from the Season 1 finale of “Daredevil: Born Again,” now streaming on Disney+.

After ending with a bang (literally) in the penultimate episode, “Daredevil: Born Again” ups the violence, with one of the most violent scenes in Marvel history — and puts New York City entirely under Mayor Wilson Fisk’s (Vincent D’Onofrio) control.

The episode starts with a flashback that reveals how Vanessa Fisk (Ayelet Zurer) convinced Bullseye (Wilson Bethel) to kill Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) prior to the tragic series premiere. In the present, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) wakes up in the hospital after he saved Kingpin from being shot by Bullseye at his political gala, and took the bullet himself in the last episode. Matt survives, but Kingpin still wants him dead, so he cuts power to the city and sends his enforcer Buck Cashman (Arty Froushan) to kill Matt under the cover of the darkness.

Marvel bringing back major MCU villain in Daredevil: Born Again season 2
Image
There's no denying that Matt Murdock is the man of the hour. While he made his big Marvel Cinematic Universe debut back in 2021 in Spider-Man: No Way Home, it wasn't until March of 2025 that he had the spotlight all to his own. Daredevil: Born Again has been at the center of conversations for all the right reasons. It's gripping, violent, dark, and when it hits its high marks, it does so in exceptional ways. And just like its Netflix predecessor, it has features of Marvel's greatest antagonists.

Wilson Fisk is back, and while it took some time for him to get back to his old villainous ways, he's now stronger than ever. He's willing to bend the law in his favor as the Mayor of New York, which can only mean bad news for every superhero living in the city. In true Kingpin fashion, he created a task force that...

15 Books You Need To Read If You Love Stephen King
Image
So, you've binged all the Stephen King novels you could. You've watched "The Shawshank Redemption" and "Stand By Me." You're paying mild attention to Edgar Wright's upcoming reboot of "The Running Man," and you know Tom Hiddleston ("Loki") will be in "The Life of Chuck." You even tried Max's "Salem's Lot" revival series. That didn't work out too well, huh? Well, we tried to warn you that these vamps were missing their fangs.

King has an approachable, easy-reading style that lets almost any reader rip through his imaginative horrors and his darkest fantasies at the pace of a cherry-red Plymouth Fury. Finding something that tickles that dark and terrible itch is surprisingly tricky, with many horror writers finding their own grim dark or heavy-prose niches. We're here to help, offering you, o Constant Reader, 15 terrific novels that will either satisfy fans of some of King's biggest and best stories,...

Daredevil: Born Again season 2 set photos reveal fans' wishes have become a reality
Image
It may be hard to believe, but the release of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 will mark ten years since the introduction of the Man Without Fear on the small screen. Matt Murdock's journey has been almost a decade in the making — which has been enough time for the iconic hero to face many super villains, lose his faith, team up with The Defenders, join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, regain his faith, save the day with She-Hulk, and suffer the loss of the one closest to him. But for as much as he has done so far, there's one particular (and highly demanded) storyline that has been evading him for years now.

While Matt Murdock may be a man of fashion, Daredevil has been anything but. Sure, he rocked the iconic red suit during the second season of his Netflix series and in that one episode of Echo. But for more often than not,...

Daredevil has a different look in Daredevil: Born Again season 2 behind-the-scenes pics and video
The nine episode first season of the Marvel series Daredevil: Born Again just made its premiere on Disney+ earlier this month (you can read our review Here), and we’re already closing in on the end of the run – but the good news is, season 2 already started filming at the end of February, so we shouldn’t have to wait too long for the next batch of episodes. Pictures and videos from the set of Daredevil: Born Again season 2 are making their way online at a steady flow… and our costumed vigilante hero Daredevil has a new look in these images, as you can see below.

Although the initial plan was to rework some elements and make Daredevil: Born Again stand separate from the Netflix Daredevil series (despite sharing some cast members), the show underwent a creative overhaul when the writers and actors strikes shut down production in 2023. Now, this...

Charlie Cox's Daredevil Spotted With Iconic 'Dd' Logo In Born Again Season 2 Set Photos
Image
This post contains spoilers for "Daredevil: Born Again" seasons 1 and 2.

The first season of "Daredevil: Born Again" isn't even over and photos from the second season are already appearing online, revealing some big changes are coming for the superhero. After waiting six episodes to see him wear the horns again, the latest on-set images reveal Charlie Cox's Man Without Fear fighting outside Josie's Bar, the same spot where season 1 brutally killed off Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson), and Daredevil is wearing a brand new black outfit. The most important detail about it, however, is that it's finally blessed with the iconic double-d's from the comic book version that's been on Matt's crime-fighting threads for decades. Granted, dressing up as Daredevil might have its downsides, just like any costume, but finally getting the logo on his chest sure looks great.

What's interesting to see, however, is that...

Daredevil: Born Again Set Photos Confirm Something Fans Have Wanted For Years Is Finally Coming
Image
A transformation is coming to Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox). In a new slate of set photos from Daredevil: Born Again, a little spoiler from the series' upcoming Season 2 episodes was revealed, but fans are happy to know it. The photos reveal that the superhero will don his famous black outfit for the first time in the series. At this point, we don't know in which episode this will happen, but Cox's face with the mask off confirms that it's indeed part of his storyline. Season 1 of the series is still rolling out new episodes on Disney+.

The Dd on Matt's chest is a big development because Marvel fans have noticed its absence in the red suit that the protagonist wore ever since the series first debuted on Netflix. The red suit from the show is considered fairly accurate, but the D's are a defining element from the comic books that fans missed.

Fresh Glimpse of Charlie Cox in a Comic-Accurate Black Suit on ‘Daredevil Born Again’ Season 2 Set
Image
Charlie Cox is back in action, and we’ve got our first peek at him suited up on the set of ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 2. This time, he’s trading in the classic red for a sleek black look that’s turning heads.

Cox, who plays the blind lawyer-turned-vigilante Matt Murdock, has been spotted filming in New York City. The new black suit stands out with its darker vibe, a fresh twist for the Man Without Fear. It’s a nod to some of the comic book designs where Daredevil dons darker gear, like during the intense ‘Shadowland’ storyline. I can’t help but think it suits the gritty streets of Hell’s Kitchen perfectly.

5 Storylines Marvel Studios Should Adapt For A Very Different Daredevil: Born Again Season 3
Image
Daredevil: Born Again is now streaming on Disney+ and production on season 2 is already underway. The plan is for this to be a multi-year series, and if the idea is to adapt "Devil's Reign" across the first two seasons, what could the Man Without Fear's future on streaming look like?

As She-Hulk: Attorney at Law made clear, there are multiple ways to portray Daredevil on screen. The character is at his best with a darker tone, of course, but some of his best adventures have even embraced the supernatural.

In this feature, we're singling out five storylines we'd love to see in Daredevil: Born Again season 3. These are all quite a bit different from the vigilante's battle with the Kingpin and would allow Marvel Studios to do something completely different with this corner of the MCU.

Check out the Daredevil stories we'd like to see adapted in season 3 by clicking...

'Daredevil: Born Again' Season 2 Set Photos May Reveal New Superhero Suit
Image
New photos from the set of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 may hint at an upgraded superhero suit for Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock. In the images, the actor is pictured wearing what appears to be an all-black outfit, though it is largely concealed by a cloak to save the full reveal for the Disney+ series. The devil is in the details and nobody knows that better than Marvel fans, who immediately started speculating about what the costume change might reveal about where the story is heading in its sophomore outing.

The photos were met with excitement when they surfaced on X/Twitter. An account by the name of "Daredevil Shots" posted a side-by-side comparison (shared below) of the suit that Daredevil dons in Season 1 and a newer snap of Cox on the set of Season 2. Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Set Photos Reveal Possible First Look At Charlie Cox's New Superhero Costume
Image
While it's only been featured in the premiere so far, Daredevil: Born Again has given the Man Without Fear a new suit. Far more in line with what the hero wears in the comics, there's a lot more red than the Netflix version...but still no sign of the "Dd" logo.

Charlie Cox has now been spotted on the set of Daredevil: Born Again season 2 and the boots alone confirm he's back in costume. However, eagle-eyed fans have pointed out that the neck area is now entirely black, a sign perhaps that the vigilante will be getting a fully black costume.

There's precedent for this in the comics, whether it's Matt Murdock's armoured look or his short-lived Shadowland costume.

The following contains spoilers for Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 1, now streaming on Disney+.

It's a great time to be a Daredevil fan, especially for those who like Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock. He has transitioned from the Netflix TV shows to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Peter Parker's lawyer. He also sparked a brief romance with Tatiana Maslany's She-Hulk.

On top of that, Matt will feature in what's anticipated to be his best story yet: Daredevil: Born Again. Before that, however, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 1 dives into a much better storyline for Matt: his mentorship of Peter Parker.

'Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man' Clip Reveals Daredevil Showdown
Image
Fans don't have to wait for Daredevil: Born Again to see the Man Without Fear, as he is set to appear in the latest episode of the hit Disney+ series Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. Matt Murdock, a.k.a. Daredevil, is swinging into action in Episode 6 of Spidey's new animated series, set to air this Wednesday, Feb. 12.

Created by Stan Lee and Bill Everett, Daredevil and his lawyer alter ego Matt Murdock have been a fixture of the Marvel Universe since he debuted in Daredevil #1 in April 1964. His status as a crime fighter in New York City's Hell's Kitchen means he has regularly crossed paths with Spider-Man, which is a team-up fans are hoping to see play out in live action in the upcoming Spider-Man 4 – especially after Charlie Cox reprised his role as Matt Murdock and served as Peter Parker's lawyer in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Blue Bloods Season 14 Report Card: A Solid Season That Made It Tough To Say Goodbye
Image
I’m still not over Blue Bloods’ cancelation.

I haven’t deleted the series finale from my DVR and have watched bits and pieces of it over again, and can safely say it was one of the best episodes in a season full of them.

Our Blue Bloods Season 14 report card considers that this farewell season didn’t feel like a show going off the air—and that the final episode should have been a season finale, not a series finale.

(CBS/Michael Parmalee)

While a few episodes had a sillier premise than I would like (I’m rarely a fan of Danny partnering up with a random guest star who annoys the hell out of him), every episode offered solid stories and the family values that made Blue Bloods such a wonderful series.

Even the worst episode of Blue Bloods Season 14 was some of the best that television has to offer.

(Video) Check Out a Clear Look at Daredevil’s New Suit in ‘Daredevil: Born Again’
Image
Daredevil: Born Again is one of the most anticipated upcoming releases in the MCU. Set to premiere on Disney+ in March 2025, the show promises to fully integrate Daredevil into the MCU, along with a host of characters from his Netflix series.

With this new installment comes a fresh suit. As you may know, Daredevil has sported several costumes in live action, evolving from his homemade black suit to a professionally crafted red armored suit over the course of three seasons.

In She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, fans were treated to Daredevil’s Yellow and Red Suit, which presented a less gritty appearance that matched the show’s lighter, more comedic tone. The yellow helmet and accents paid tribute to the retro, comic-accurate design of his classic debut costume from the 1960s.

However, it appears that Born Again is returning to a grittier aesthetic, as set leaks have revealed a new and updated armored suit.

(Video) We Finally Got a Clear Look at Daredevil’s New Suit in ‘Daredevil: Born Again’

‘Daredevil: Born Again’ is one of MCU’s most exciting upcoming releases. The show arrives to Disney+ in March 2025 and we can look forward to Daredevil finally being introduced to the MCU to the full extent as well as a plethora of characters from his Netflix show.

With the new show comes a new suit. As you’re likely aware Daredevil changed several suits in live action. Transitioning from his black homemade suit to having a professionally made red armor suit across three seasons.

In ‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’ fans got the pleasure of seeing Daredevil’s Yellow and Red Suit. The updated suit was less gritty and reflected the lighter, more comedic tone of ‘She-Hulk.’ The yellow helmet and accents were an homage to the retro, comic-accurate look of his classic debut costume from the 1960s.

Tom Selleck Is Right About Blue Bloods Ending
Image
Lead actor Tom Selleck's frustration over CBS' cancelation of Blue Bloods is justified. When CBS decided to cancel the long-running police and family drama after 14 seasons, it sparked a massive fan-led protest to save Blue Bloods. However, that failed to move the needle with CBS executives; similarly, the enthusiasm for another season by cast members such as Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, and Gregory Jbara did not convince CBS to give Blue Bloods a reprieve.

Blue Bloods' final season was split into two parts, with the first half airing in the spring of 2024 and the second half set to begin on October 18, 2024. The long hiatus between the two halves of the season gave Selleck and other stars time to try to convince CBS to extend the order to a full season, but unfortunately, this did not materialize, although the network did suggest that a spinoff might be in the works. Thus,...

BeyondFest 2024 Review: Shadowland, Compelling, Infuriating, And Sobering
Image
In 2021 Finnish filmmaker and documentarian Otso Tiainen, together with their co-writer Kalle Kinnunen, set out to Montségur, France, a commune nestled in the French Pyreneese mountains and a homestead for practitioners of the occult. Initially filming started out as a documentary about filmmaker and occultist Richard Stanley and their life in what they call "The Zone." However, part way through the project a shocking allegation of past domestic abuse was made against Stanley. Not only did the documentarians need to rethink what they do with this revelation but so did other residents of Montségur who had come to know Stanley as one of the commune’s key spiritual leaders. Shadowland starts out as a continuation, of sorts, of Stanley’s own documentary about the region,...

How ‘Shadowland’ Filmmakers Pivoted to Address Allegations Leveled at Horrormeister Richard Stanley (Exclusive)
Image
Documentary “Shadowland” – which has its world premiere at Los Angeles’ Beyond Fest on Oct. 5 – was supposed to be a “happy story” set in the French Pyrenees, a place known for its mysteries.

Embracing magic and witchcraft, spiritual “seekers” from all paths of life settle there, hoping to find the greatest treasure – the Holy Grail – or experience supernatural encounters.

One of those was cult director Richard Stanley, who claimed he saw local deity the White Lady, earning the respect of the close-knit community. As well as being a long-time resident of the area, Stanley also worked as a tour guide there.

Stanley made his name with horror films like “Hardware” and “Dust Devil,” but after he was fired from “The Island of Dr. Moreau,” starring Marlon Brando and Val Kilmer, he took a 20-plus year break from feature filmmaking before returning with 2019’s “Color Out of Space,” starring Nicolas Cage.
