You've seen pretty much everything here but it is done very well. The acting, plot and cinematography are top notch. The on location filming is superb. The series does take a while to get going. Its 20 episodes long at a half hour each but doesn't really kick into gear until around episode 10. The early episodes mainly set up the plot and characters.

I really like well done African and South African projects in particular because they take you away from the usual Hollywood fanfare. There is less agenda driven garbage forced upon you. Like Bollywood its great to have this alternative. It might not be for everyone but thats not a problem. Netflix should continue to make these original series.

Surprisingly I loved it and binged it in one go. So many twist and turns wasn't expecting some of them really good filming and sets. Really did have me on the edge of my seat and I found myself gasping in places definitely one to watch can't wait for the next series really hope there was one. Kanye is my favourite character very powerful loyal lady can't stand Mandela but I guess it's when you can't stand the character it means the actors doing a good job. You see some tough scenes that do tackle some issues with the drama the Day today family business and criminal in the world can't believe how high they are what did this all in one go. Each episode seems to end on a cliff hanger so it sucked me in.

It's refreshing to watch. It hits close to home as l basically grew up in Durban and had my children there.

All the actors and actresses delivered.

The children are obviously still young and their acting was not really on par but the adults are more experienced and they understood the assignment. Well done again Mzansi.

Hoping that there is a second season? I hope it will be as good since Mam Connie is nolonger with us? She was really a great actress and hopefully whoever replaces her will be as good as her. Amazing Drama. Will recommend anyone to watch it if you like African drama obviously.
