Sayli Patil, Dhairya Gholap, and Tejaswini Pandit in Yek Number (2024)

Ek Number

"Yek Number" Just like its name, the movie is truly "number one." As seen on the poster, the film revolves around Raj Thackeray.

However, despite that, excellent screenplay, direction, and the remarkable performances by all the actors make this film a success.

Special appreciation goes to Dhairya Gholap, Vishal Sudarshanwar, and Tejaswini Pandit.

I won't reveal the storyline here, as doing so would take away all the fun.

The beginning is a bit slow-paced, but from around 15 minutes before the interval until the end, it picks up a good momentum and builds excitement.

Putting politics aside, every Marathi person should definitely watch this movie at least once.

Some sensitive topics have been conveyed to the audience in a very effective manner.

Tip: Those who do not like Raj Thackeray or do not agree with his views should especially watch this movie.

Overload of poltical advertising

The movie talks a lot of marathi culture and values and then devalues it by showing all political advertising. Instead of focusing on the good parts and the integrity of the state it tries to push political manifestos of one political party.

One thing is shows correctly is the jobless youth trying to spend time behind politicians. Also with a cringe filled love story that has nothing to do with love but again portraying visionless female.

The idea may have been probably good but the execution is poor. The songs too doesn't have a value add. It becomes unbearable towards the end of first half.
