Needless to say that I had of course never heard about this 2025 sci-fi movie titled "Alien Invasion: Rise of the Phoenix" prior to stumbling upon it by random chance. Normally then sci-fi is not my go-to genre of movies for entertainment, but I do venture down the sci-fi path every now and again. And since I had never even heard about director Stefano Milla's 2025 movie "Alien Invasion: Rise of the Phoenix", of course I opted to give it a fair chance and the benefit of the doubt.
Writer Katherine Tomlinson put together a fair enough script and storyline. It wasn't a particularly exciting or thrilling storyline though, as it was essentially something that has been seen and done in many other sci-fi movies before it, and more often than not done way better as well. But if you are a diehard sci-fi fan, I suppose you will enjoy "Alien Invasion: Rise of the Phoenix" way more than I did as a casual viewer.
Of the entire cast ensemble in the movie, I was only familiar with Michael Paré. The acting performances in the movie were fair.
The effects in the movie were fair. Some of the special effects were actually nice, whereas others were rather amateurish, especially the mountainside destruction scene, as it had me laughing in disbelief at how lousy it was made. So it was a movie that was a little bit all over the place in terms of effects.
My rating of director Stefano Milla's 2025 movie "Alien Invasion: Rise of the Phoenix" lands on a generous three out of ten stars.

My suggestion to movie producers, creators, directors would be, if you do not have the budget to create a sci-fi movie, then don't bother. It would be flop big time and you will have people like me telling you the truth.
If it was a horror, drama, comedy movie, people can work on a tight budget and it might just be a breakout. Low budget is not recommended for sci-fi, fantasy, adventure films. Effects will be needed, make up, prosthetics and all that will be shown on screen and believe me, anyone can identify a big budget film just by looking at the effects and prosthetics.
The premise was good, acting was ordinary, no one stood out from the cast. Its watchable but cringey.
