Flip Side

I watch it almost every night. Jaleel aka Urkel, is charming, and the show is addictive. Sort of like Family Feud and also a bit like America Says, it's fun to yell out answers at the screen as you watch. So far you cannot catch up on any missed episodes on Hulu, Peacock, etc, like you can do with most game shows, probably because it's so new, having just started in September 2024. Hoping it'll continue for years to come. It's an interesting concept too of combining different sets of participants-sometimes married couples, sometimes dating couples, and sometimes just friends of the same or opposite sex. If you haven't tried it yet, give it a chance.

I caught the show Flip Side tonight. I don't usually watch the show, but it's late night & I watched. Right off the bat, when he was talking to the "white" mom & daughter, he made a comment about black people being killed off @ the beginning of movies - which in my estimation, had no place in the conversation. Then when he walked over to the other team which had 2 black women, he went on & on about "these beautiful brown women" & encouraging them. Is it just me, or can you see the way he comes off as prejudiced? These 2 teams were in no way treated the same. And lastly, he has as much personality as a rock. I think he was a poor choice for the host. Hell, I could do a better job.

I have seen a little bit of this game show and it seems decent enough. It reminds me of Family Feud and the questions they asked on Press Your Luck. The format of the show and host Jaleel White are both pretty watchable, but I think they need to jack things up a bit to make things more interesting, and White can do a better job with more interesting material and a wider variety of contestants. I like the rounds and flip questions asked. The final round is a good concept. If you are a game show fanatic and a fan of Jaleel White and remember him from his Family Matters days and want to see him in something different, you might want to give this a try.

I really do like the show! But I have noticed something in the final round that really bothers me. It's certainly not fair at all! Some people get two strikes where others get three! WHY? It makes no sense to me! If I was a couple that had been on the show I would demand to come back and play again. They may have won with that extra strike! Please explain if I'm wrong but I have rewinded to check and when this happens Jaleel says 'before you strike out' but most nights he says 'before getting your third strike'! So just puzzling to me. Please correct this so ALL players have the same opportunity 🤗

Jaleel White who we remember as Steve Erkel from the 90s sitcom (a matter of opinion) 'Family Matters' is now hosting a moronic game show called 'Flip Side'. There is little to no originality here, so don't look for it. FS pits two teams against each other and asks them to choose the most popular answer to a question. They are given 3 options. The team that gathers the most amount of correct answers participates in a final round where they can win up to $10K. There are many problems with FS. The answers to the idiot questions are never really validated, we must take the producer's word for it. Jaleel does his best but he has very little to work with. The other major problem with FS is the its lack of geographical diversity among the participants. The vast majority of them are Calis. The West coast vibe here is outrageous and bigoted. It makes the viewer wonder if there's any serious vetting process in place for selecting the contestants.

Jaleel, a Cali native himself, should demand better. There are 49 other states out there, but FS fails to acknowledge that. The result is a geo prejudiced series that has already lost what little mojo it ever had.
