This is the second time The Asylum Films has produced a version of The Land That Time Forgot. The first being in 2009 and starring C. Thomas Howell.
There appears to be no mention anywhere on the packaging or in the credits that this film is another remake of the Edgar Rice Burroughs book of the same name, even though the film uses the same name for the island and hints at a major plot element.
