Rhona Mitra was the star of TNT action drama The Last Ship from 2014-2015 before dropping out of the spotlight for several years, but now the British actress is poised to make a comeback with four upcoming movies. In the early and mid-'00s, Mitra bounced between television and film, appearing opposite Kevin Bacon in Hollow Man before joining the ensemble cast led by James Spader and William Shatner in the early seasons of Boston Legal, and playing the ancestor of Selene in the Underworld franchise.
She starred in the action-heavy sci-fi thriller Doomsday, about zombie hordes taking over the Earth, and joined Mark Wahlberg for The Shooter. Known for her commanding screen presence, in the post-apocalyptic series The Last Ship, Mitra played Dr. Rachel Scott, a beloved character who abruptly left the series after being formative in trying to find a cure for the mainland virus in its first two seasons.

The highly anticipated comedy sequel Happy Gilmore 2 has now found a director in What We Do in the Shadows and Workaholics Kyle Newacheck. Now that someone has been found to man the helm of the Adam Sandler follow-up, production is ready to begin, with What's on Netflix revealing that Happy Gilmore 2 will go before cameras later this year on September 5, before wrapping on November 18. Which should offer some clues as to when we will be sitting down to stream the sequel on Netflix...
Happy Gilmore 2 will not be the first time that Kyle Newacheck has helmed a Netflix project. As well as directing episodes of hit sitcoms What We Do in the Shadows, Workaholics, Community, and Parks and Recreation, Newacheck directed and produced Game Over Man! for the streamer back in 2018, as well as the first Murder Mystery movie starring Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston. The Catherine Zeta-Jones reference on Workaholics pays homage to her iconic laser-dodging scene in Entrapment. The episode 'Office Campout' also inspired Blake Anderson's movie 'Game Over, Man!', blending action and comedy. Workaholics' ability to seamlessly integrate pop culture references showcases its unique humor and creativity.
The Workaholics Catherine Zeta-Jones "she dips beneath the lasers" quote seems totally random, but it's actually a clever pop culture reference. Known for its irreverent humor and absurd situations, the show follows Blake (Blake Henderson), Adam (Adam DeVine), and Anders (Anders Holmvik) as they navigate their twenties while working at a telemarketing company, TelAmeriCorp, blending their work lives with their absurd shared living situation. Workaholics started as a web series and caught Comedy Central's attention for adeptly mixing slapstick, witty dialogue, and pop culture references, securing its place in the hearts of a dedicated fan base.
Catherine Zeta-Jones is a Welsh actress whose career spans decades.

Exclusive: Dexter Darden (Chang Can Dunk), Chloe Bridges (Maggie) and Robert Buckley (One Tree Hill) have joined the cast of Amber Ruffin and Kenny Smith NBC comedy pilot, Non-Evil Twin.
Darden plays Marcus, a contemporary nerd and tech developer for exercise equipment. He’s a good guy, but no fan of confrontation, which makes it hard for him to do the right thing at times. Bridges plays Robin, the CEO of Dandee Sports Apparel and Angie’s (Ruffin) corporate nemesis. She’s a self-described woman of faith who’s a shark in the boardroom. Buckley plays Samson, Angie’s not-so-bright lawyer who, in addition to providing legal counsel, provides Angie with anything she needs…be it copious amounts of rosé or sex.
The multi-camera pilot stars Ruffin playing the dual roles of twin sisters Angie and Amber. Angie is the ruthless CEO of AngieCorp, who is as heartless as she is rich.

The oldest filmmakers in Hollywood were physical comics, and they can all rest easy knowing Adam Devine is upholding their tradition. The "Righteous Gemstones" star is best known for his work as a comedian, but he also loves performing his own stunts — the more dangerous the better. One stunt was so extreme that production wanted a double to step in, but Devine insisted on going through with it himself.
"The Righteous Gemstones" is far from Devine's first foray into dangerous stunt work. "Workaholics" also featured a lot of physical comedy that Devine had to commit to mind, soul, and, body. Luckily, his commitment paid off, and the series earned an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Stunt Coordination. "I'm very excited and happy that the Academy took notice," the series co-creator said in a 2013 interview with Join the Synergy. "It looks like I really hurt myself every time, 'cause I do. It's very painful.

Adam DeVine, Blake Anderson, and Anders Holm co-created Workaholics, a sitcom that revolved three college friends working at a telemarketing company. The series ran for seven seasons on Comedy Central before it ended in 2017, but the trio have been developing a Workaholics movie. Unfortunately, Adam Devine took to Instagram to say that Paramount+ has cancelled the Workaholics movie, just five weeks before shooting was set to begin filming.

Like all his major projects to date, “The Legacy of a Whitetail Deer Hunter” is a comedy with Danny McBride in a plum role. Hill and McBride penned the Netflix script with John Carcieri, a producer on their past HBO series.
Leading the cast is John Brolin as Buck Ferguson, a hunter who fronts “Buck Fever” wildlife documentary specials.
