Dhurandhar (2025)

Goofs

Dhurandhar

Edit

Factual errors

The major scenes in the movie are set in the year 2007-2008/9 and the cars used by one of the keys characters (Rakesh Bedi) are a Mercedes S-Class (W222) which was only launched in the year 2013 and a Mercedes ML SUV which too was launched in the year (2012).
When Ranveer cross the border to enter Pakistan in 2004, he bribe 1,000 PKR notes which were current notes. The current running bank notes issued by Govt in 2006.
In multiple scenes, background there are background vehicles like Toyota Etios, Suzuki Ertiga and Dzire and some Hyundai cars. Neither of them existed during the time the movie is set at, nor were they sold in Pakistan.
In scenes showing Pakistani Urdu news channels, the scrolling news ticker moves from right to left. Since Urdu is written and read from right to left, news tickers in Urdu broadcasts normally scroll in the opposite direction (left to right), allowing new text to enter from the left. The scrolling direction shown in the film matches left-to-right languages instead, making it inaccurate for Urdu television broadcasts.
Madhavan looks the same in 2002 and in 2009 portions.

Miscellaneous

The foreign minister in the movie, played by Aakash Khurana, is named as Devavrat Kapoor. In the credits, he is shown to be playing a character by the name of "Jaswant Singh". Jaswant Singh was the external affairs minister of India in 2001.

Anachronisms

The film is set before 2007, but characters are shown using smartphones with designs consistent with later iPhone models (such as the iPhone 3G/3GS and iPhone 4), which were released after the time period depicted.

Audio/visual unsynchronised

In some scenes the dialogues don't match the lips.

Errors in geography

The aerial shot spanning Lyari town shows all (or most) of the homes as red-brick, which is factually incorrect. In Karachi, homes are built with concrete blocks.
