"the on1y one" is, One of the best bl dramas of 2024, and I must say it's worth watch. The tangled up lovestory of two going to be stepbrothers is pictured so well. From cinematography to overall emotions of the main characters and other casts are well executed. LOVED WATCHING IT. I must say this drama has taken top 1 position as of now this year for me in top - 5 bl list. As a hard-core bl fan from many years , I suggest people to watch this drama 💯. Please watch them on official platforms, where the eps are released and rate them accordingly on these platforms too.

I did not know that I would be hooked with this series ever since I saw it's trailer poster on tiktok. But this series got my heart from the very start starting from the talented actors down to the storyline. I have just recently finished reading the novel and I could see the similarities in the flow of the storyline but with some changes as to pace the series since it will only have 12 episodes. I just hope that the ending for this series will be satisfactory depending on whether it will have another season or not. And if it will really have another season, I hope that they will retain LDQ and BT as Sheng Wang and Jiang Tian, respectfully.

Can we just talk about what a legend this? It has to be the BL of the year for me! Skillfully blending romance with a compelling narrative that keeps viewers eagerly engaged. Directed with a keen eye for emotional nuance and character development...The actors are perfectly chosen and the PLOT IS AMAZING. I will literally cry if we don't get a season 2. The series' nuanced storytelling and complex characters leave much to explore, promising even deeper dives into the characters' lives and relationships. Fans of the series will undoubtedly look forward to seeing how the narrative evolves and whether it can continue to deliver the same high level of emotional engagement and storytelling prowess.

After I got to know that the director is the same who also directed your name engraved herein I had no doubt about the only one cuz it will be a hit It's already being a hit bl drama among bl fans So both of you haven't disappointed me.

I only chanced upon this drama series after hearing the same title theme song by 831 on 23 August 2024. This new song is so good that prompted me to look up on the background of this song - which is this drama series.

The first episode was slow, but when you watch the following episodes, you would understand the story flow. At the time of this review, I have watched 6 episodes - and i can tell you, i have in sum watched at least 5 times because the director has put in so much effort in creating little nuances among the 2 main characters - and the build up of their relationship. A great series!

I am already looking forward to the next 6 episodes.

I must say, it does not put justice to the entire team for not having much marketing effort to promote this superb series. This great series must be shared to more people!

Kudos to the team and the two main characters for making such series possible. Hopefully, we can have a season 2.

One of the best BL dramas I've ever seen. But of course it was to be expected, Taiwan is the best in this field in my opinion. This show is extraordinary from every aspect: chemistry between the characters, the acting of Benjamin and Liu Dong, the plot which is engaging and moving. I love this series so much that every week I look forward to Wednesdays and Thursdays, which have become my favorite days. So I hope but above all I pray that there will be a second season with our beloved Benjamin Tsang and Liu Dong Quin. You guys are amazing.

I have watched so many boyslove drama's and this one belongs in my top 3 and it's not in 3rd or 2nd place! The cast is amazing, I would give flowers to every person who worked on this. Taiwan, I'm so sorry, I was not familiar with your game. At first I was not sure where this story would lead me to and I'm sure a few people would not be into the whole "stepbrothers to lovers" trope, but wow their love is truly so gentle, they make it not feel icky at all. I Think it's such a shame not more people tuned in to this masterpiece, I've recommended this to all my friends.

School bl is a common genre but this series is giving us refreshing story line between the two main lead Sheng Wang "Liu Dongqin" and Jiang Tian "Benjamin Tsang". I hope it will be getting better and better every episode because the chemistry of these two are not joke. I wanna say thank you to the all cast, director and the crews for your all efforts and to show us a wonderful drama, I will support and love you from bottom of my heart . Hoping you will continuing make a good drama in the future. Jiang Tian and Sheng Wang thank you for your best character ever. God luck both of you and always take care of yourself. I still can't believe if season 2 will be there or not cuz like it was one of the best bl youth series I ever watched , every week I come back to see if there's any update regarding this topic but goes back disappointed. Same cast , continuation all I want is to be 2025 to be there year . Pls give us a 2nd season. The 1st episode was a bangger , every ep give me the curiosity and urge to jump in the future to see the next , and the last just left me speechless, hanging at the edge of a cliff that I don't even know how much longer Do I have to wait like pls fulfill our hearts and give us a blessing gift of 2025.

The series is so perfect. The acting of all actors is so good. Thanks for your efforts. The scenery in Tamsui is very beautiful. From the very beginning, the series captured my attention with its stunning visuals, compelling storyline, and well-crafted characters. The film effortlessly transported me to another world, making me feel as if I were part of the journey alongside the characters. This is a testament to the immense talent and dedication of everyone involved in the making of the film. The cinematography was simply breathtaking. Every shot felt intentional, each angle and movement perfectly executed to enhance the storytelling. The choice of locations, lighting, and camera work made each scene not only visually stunning but emotionally resonant. Whether it was a wide, sweeping landscape or an intimate close-up, the visuals added depth and meaning to the story in a way that only great films can achieve.

To say The On1y One has surpassed all my expectations would be an understatement. It's only September and this is already highly likely to be my series of the year. The script and direction are absolutely amazing (although I would have expected nothing else from the brilliant team behind this production). The story is heart warming and so deeply human. And the acting.... The acting is EVERYTHING. I had no prior knowledge of any of the cast, but my god, have they proven to be powerhouses. Both leads have undoubtedly won my heart with their performances and I cannot wait to see what else they have in store in the future. Hoping for a season 2 with all my fingers crossed.

Still on-going but I have to say that this drama was well made, from the director, to the actors, crew and the technical aspect of it. 💯 Exceeds my expectations, Benjamin Tsang and Liu Dong Qin had portrayed their characters well, they have embodied and give life to the characters Jiang Tian and Sheng Wang effectively.

Supporting cast are also superb.

Okay, first off, the "TheOn1yOne" series deserves 10/10 for so many reasons. This is the finest show I have watched in a loooooong time. Keeping my love for BL aside, I say this is the finest in all genres, not just BL in particular!!!

I mean come on, most BL shows gain views just because they are BL, while the acting is awkward and 90% of these actors look visibly hesitant. I've only had the opportunity to find a few actors who are NATURAL. The 2 leads of this show are beyond phenomenal. I mean you've got to watch it to understand😭 P. S. : Benjamin Tsang is my number 1 :)

For a long time I was looking for a good MM series and guess what! I just found all that I was looking for in one drama. What makes it so special? Their natural acting. Most of the bl dramas seem to neglect this essential part. Both casts also the supporting casts are doing an amazing job. They kept me hooked ever since the release of episode one. Now I just wait for Wednesday and Thursday. Their chemistry is top notch. Their eye contact, their little conversation, the small detail, the blooming of love between them ; it's all so convincingly portrayed. I hope it won't have a sad ending. Happy watching.

I had high hopes for The On1y One, given its ridiculously high ratings, the initial premise and the increasing demand for authentic queer narratives in media. Unfortunately, the series fell flat on multiple fronts, leaving me feeling disappointed and somewhat frustrated. First and foremost, the pacing of the show was excruciatingly slow. What could have been a gripping exploration of identity, love, and struggle instead dragged on without much substance, filled with extremely generic romantic tropes. Key plot points felt underdeveloped, and character arcs seemed stagnant rather than evolving throughout the season and the overall story was painfully primitive. There were moments that could have been rich with emotional depth, but the writing missed the mark, often resorting to clichés instead of forging new ground. Additionally, while representation is crucial, it felt forced. Some characters seemed to exist only to tick boxes rather than contribute to the storyline authentically. This superficial approach detracted from the authenticity that viewers like myself were hoping for, leaving many characters feeling one-dimensional and unrelatable.

The dialogue also left much to be desired; it often felt stilted and unnatural. Moments that should have sparked connection or tension were instead met with awkward exchanges, making it difficult to become truly invested in the relationships portrayed on screen. Lastly, while the series attempted to tackle important issues within the queer community, the execution felt heavy-handed and, at times, overly melodramatic. Rather than fostering insightful discussions, it often resorted to shock value that felt more exploitative than enlightening.

I wanted to love this series, but instead, I found myself wishing for a more genuine portrayal of the complexities within the queer experience. It's a reminder that while we need more queer storytelling, quality should never be compromised for quantity.

Before diving into my thoughts about the series, I want to say THANK YOU! Thank you for making this series. Well, moving backwards 2 years ago, after watching YOUR NAME ENGRAVED HEREIN, I realized that my bar for A BEAUTIFUL movie had already set too high by it's impact. Coming from the same director, this show is not an exception.

I'm not a film major or a person with knowledge of this field but while writing this there's this question that has arisen in my head. What does a good series looks like in the first place? For me, It's somewhere I can rest. It's too busy everyday. Classes, assignments, prep for entrance exam and so on. It's exhausting but breaks keep us going. And during the break a series like this is blessing from heaven!

In this series, the characters are struggling with their lives but at the same time taking responsibilities, trying not to owe anyone but themselves. It's not just a story of teenage love. It's more than just what it shows......A work of art that lingers in your heart more than you expect it to be. It's beautiful, creative, motivating, peaceful. It's green, It's natural. But no matter how much I describe It, you must feel it yourself, so that when it will hold your hand, you'll be able to feel the peaceful touch both in your hands and your heart like it did to me! That's why I'm trying not to give any spoilers or dive into the story. Last but not the least, I'm confident that there'll be a season 2, because It's a stupid idea not to have one!

I give it a chance without any expectation but wow they impressed me so much. The storyline, the visual, the cinematography, the ost, the scoring, and the most important thing the acting and chemistry of the actors is insane. Finally a bl series with top tier acting, they didn't even have to speak but we can feel the emotions. Their eyes and subtle gestures alone tell everything. They're able to express the right emotions without exaggeration manner. Everyone please do yourself a favor and go watch this beautiful amazing series. Definitely worth watching, a masterpiece i promise.
