Oh my. One of the worst Hallmark movies ever. I could not make it past the 20 minutes mark. The lead actress with the immovable toiletpaper roll hair that she wears even when working on shoes.
There are so many good actors out there that Hallmark can employ.
Actors in the same league as Kimberley Sustad, Joy Lentz, Wes Brown, Warren Christie, Rachel Skarsten.
Why on earth would they use people who clearly have zero acting skills.
And the story line is so weak and boring.
A complete waste of time. There is zero chemistry between the main characters.
This movie is a complete fail...........

Addi (Rebecca Dalton) dreams of becoming a shoe designer. She gets an opportunity to get her foot in the door when she lands a job as an Assistant to a very demanding footwear icon. Her family doesn't understand the demands of her new job, and why she doesn't have time to help with her Father's shoe repair business, they are upset she can't attend family events (boohoo) She gets help and encouragement from the charming PR guru, Austin (Olivier Renaud) who has his own dreams and aspirations. (The storyline starts out very similar to the Hallmark movie, LOVE ON THE SIDELINES, an Assistant who starts out making mistakes in her job and the demanding boss is getting upset and angry. In both movies, the lead character suddenly becomes proficient in her duties and impresses the boss and others). Drama is added as the footware business is threatened to be bought by a rival company unless they succeed in creating new designs and getting lots of sales in the next fashion show. There is a mishap and misunderstanding which creates a potential disaster (usual Hallmark stuff). The plot could have been wrapped up in 30 minutes but instead drags on and on, very repetitive. There is no chemistry between Addi and Austin, their relationship is more like that of coworkers. The ending is very predictable. Just one big BORING movie! Come on Hallmark please find better writers and get someone that does better in casting the lead rolls so we see some actual chemistry, and the romance is getting less and less in your latest movies.
This movie is boring slow moving and very obviously a poor redo on the high fashion mean girl world of New York
If fashion is so mean as these movie seem to show why would anyone want to go there.
It is a very Hallmark formula film which usually doesn't bother me but this is really to slow moving and disorganized story line.
The main character of course is a young and plucky woman but she has a book full of shoe designs that no one sees. There is the hunky young guy who is trying to help her and break free from his over involved father that controls his life.
It just all feels stale and been there done that.

7.7 stars.
How many times is this woman going to mess up? She has always wanted to be in the shoe design industry, and this is her chance.
She gets hired as an assistant for one of the leading shoe designers in New York City. This is very much like the Devil wears Prada, the boss is just like Streep. This assistant has the gift of fashion in shoe design. It's a copycat with obviously a much lower budget.
So what do I think this movie? Well, it's actually not too bad. The male co-worker, leading man is a very suave sort, but I like his character; he is smooth and quite charismatic. The lead female is very pretty, but her character is so inept. She makes so many dumb mistakes. I don't know why she decided to do this job after she majorly screws up twice. If I were the Streep counterpart, I would've fired her immediately. I don't care how good her style is.
It's predictable, but I still enjoyed it for the leads and their screen presence and chemistry and the Fahey wannabe.

Addison Connors (Rebecca Dalton) works at her father's shoe repair shop. She suddenly gets a chance at her dream job as the assistant to shoe designer Delaney Diaz (Alexandra Castillo) who has a reputation for being a horrible boss. Right away, she impresses Austin Strickland (Olivier Renaud) who seems to have pull with Delaney.
It's a Hallmark movie doing a version of Devil wears Prada except Addie is actually trying. There is no way that this could match its superior. It doesn't help that the comparison is always at the top of mind. Now, I don't know anything about lady's shoes, but nothing really excites me about her designs. To be fair, the premise is that Delaney has been on the decline. A lot of this seems like the worst kind of sitcom writing. Addie is dumb at the worst times. I'm not happy with any of these characters in this movie. I'm not sure why Claudia shows up and does that. I'm not sure about anything in this movie.
