Intriguing Premise, but the Ending Peters out a Little

Cagan Irmak's latest film opens with a dream-sequence in which sculptor Temmuz (Deniz Celiloglu) dreams of a new beginning, heralded by a young man (Aras Bulut Iynemli). While out by the sea in Istanbul one day, he sees the young man in human form: born without arms or legs, Ihsan (the young man's name) leads a half-life, being cared for by his mother (Zuhal Gencer). Temmuz concocts a scheme whereby he can see Ihsan on a regular basis, and tells him that, as Ihsan appeared in his dream, the two men's lives must be inextricably linked. Ihsan agrees, but asks in return that Temmuz should kill him, as he (Ihsan) wants to ask God why he should have been born as he was. The film charts their relationship, as Ihsan ends up moving in with Temmuz. As a sculptor, Temmuz is interested in recreating human forms; once Ihsan appears in his life, he approaches his creative task with a renewed vigor, while at the same time trying to treat Ihsan like a normal human being (something the young man has not experienced before). Director Irmak has a lot to say about human relationships, and how destiny can sometimes bring people together in the strangest of ways. The only real problem with TAMAM MIYIZ? is the ending, which seems somehow rushed after Irmak has taken so much care to establish the relationship between his two protagonists. Nonetheless credit must be given to the two leading actors, especially Iynemli, who turns in a performance little short of miraculous,

Hmmm...

I thought it would be good, the subject is good, but frankly, I did not find what I expected in terms of continuity.

Aras Bulut Iynemli offers a tour de force in acting.

I have been a fan of Aras's work since watching Icerde & most recently Cukur, I was advised to give Tamam Miyiz a watch and was utterly blown away again.

The vulnerability he brings to the role is achingly poignant. The relationship between the two leads as they support and enhance one anothers life is so beautiful. I was so impressed by this. Aras you are an utter star. Shine on young man.

It's a real friendship story.

No need too much words adding here. That movie is about a real friendship and humanity. Temmuz and Ihsan. Thanks for that movie to the creators. Regards.....

beautiful

Difficult to write too much about this profound beautiful film. Sure, the source of beauty is the noble message, like acting, humor and the touch of magic realism in the first part.

No doubts, it reminds many other Turkish films , for a special atmosphere, maybe, for me, as Romanian, very familiar. But it is a film inspiring joy and hope and the significance of a dream who discovers what real matter for a sensefull life.

Sure , Ihsan performed by Aras Bulut Iynemli is not exactly a surprise and the portrait of Temmuz is fair crafted, scene by scene, in realistic manner by Deniz Celiloglu.

At the end, the final seems not the most inspired but Tamam Miyiz ? Remains a special form of fairy tale and this is the significant detail - each viewer can offer his version for final . So, in profound sense, just beautiful.
