In tonight's new episode 9, you guys are going to see the remaining contestants finish up their journey after a storm forced them to evacuate to a lower elevation. When they do, their next challenge will be a daunting chasm called, "King's Leap." During it, they will have to pull themselves to the other side by using a single rope to arrive at their final checkpoint.

We are into Thanksgiving week, and that means a lot of broadcast TV is on a break. Some networks have aired fall finales already, while others are just taking a night off knowing people will travel for the holiday.

The One Chicago shows will not air new episodes tonight, Wednesday, Nov. 27. Those three shows are now on a break until 2025. The good news is they’ll return in January, but NBC is now focused on its holiday content for the rest of the year. That all starts tonight with a couple of specials.

The best in global television was honored in New York on Monday night at the 2024 International Emmy Awards, with winners picked across nominees from 21 countries.

The big winners on the night were Drops of God winning best drama series, Timothy Spall winning best actor, Aokbab-Chutimon Chuengcharoensukying winning best actress, División Palermo winning best comedy and Liebes Kind winning best miniseries.

In the best drama category, Apple TV+’s French-American-Japanese manga adaptation Drops of God, produced by Legendary Television, won out against 1980s-set Australian series The Newsreader; the Amazon Prime Video Argentina espionage thriller Yosi, the Regretful Spy; and the Disney+/Hotstar series The Night Manager, an Indian adaptation of the 2016 BBC show of the same name.

British acting legend Timothy Spall went into the ceremony as favorite in the best actor category, nominated for his turn in the BBC true-crime tale The Sixth Commandment, and duly walked away with the award.

French-Japanese drama series “Les Gouttes de Dieu [Drops of God],” Argentinian comedy series “División Palermo” and actor Timothy Spall were among the winners at the 52nd annual International Emmy Awards.

Hosted by stand-up comedian Vir Das, the ceremony took place Monday at the New York Hilton Midtown Hotel. This year, 21 countries were represented across 14 categories and 56 nominees.

During the evening, French actor Omar Sy presented the International Emmy Directorate Award to Gaumont CEO Sidonie Dumas, while writer and producer David E. Kelley received the International Emmys Founder Award from Michael Pressman.

Andor Season 2 will bring the story full circle to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and with that, it means the return of Orson Krennic, played by Ben Mendelsohn. Created for Rogue One, Orson Krennic is the Galactic Empire's Director of Advanced Weapons Research and has been overseeing The Death Star. Mendelshon's performance in Rogue One earned praise from fans and critics alike, and despite not being a Sith Lord or a bounty hunter, he became a fan-favorite villain in the franchise. Nine years later, he is set to return as the character in Andor Season 2.

Empire Magazine unveiled the first look at Ben Mendelsohn's return as Orson Krennic for Andor Season 2, wearing his all-white Imperial uniform. Mendelsohn revealed one of his big opponents in Andor Season 2 would be a fellow Imperial officer, Dedra Meero (Denise Gough). Mendelsohn said, If they didnt see eye to eye, to me, its cute.

In the latest TV show ratings, NBC’s Chicago Med was Wednesday’s most-watched program, while CBS’ Survivor dominated in the demo.

ABC | The yet-to-be-renewed Golden Bachelorette‘s season finale delivered 3.5 million total viewers and a 0.4 demo rating, marking season highs. Abbott Elementary (2.2 mil/0.3) in turn hit a season high in audience while putting up a fourth straight 0.3 rating.

Sometimes, life isn’t fair. Things happen out of our control and we just have to accept it. Fortunately, that isn’t the case in The Summit for Amy.

In the newest episode tonight, Wednesday, Nov. 13, we’ll see the group have to get across a chasm. It’s something that the majority of them have probably never done before, but they’re ready for the challenge. It turns out that there is some sort of consequence for those who don’t make it across holding onto the rope at all times.

So, it is disappointing for Amy when she doesn’t make it across at first. However, you can see in the sneak peek for the new episode that this isn’t her fault. It’s the rope.

“Yellowstone” creator Taylor Sheridan has set a new singing competition series at CBS with former “The Voice” star, Blake Shelton.

The series, which is currently titled “The Road,” has received a series order from CBS to debut in fall 2025, the network announced on Monday. The docuseries will follow a headlining superstar (who is yet to be announced) on their journey to discover the next big artist.

“Singers will join the headliner on tour, performing as opening acts in venues across the country. They will compete to win over local fanbases to secure a spot in the next city and remain on the tour,” according to the official logline.

Sheridan and Shelton are set to executive produce the series alongside Lee Metzger and David Glasser. “The Road” is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, with Glasser’s 101 Studios and Shelton and Metzger’s Lucky Horseshoe Productions also producing.

The Voice alum and Yellowstone creator have teamed up for The Road, a new singing competition that has been roped in by CBS.

The network will launch the series as part of its fall 2025 schedule.

It comes a day after that explosive Yellowstone season opener, which premiered on Paramount Network and went buck wild later in the evening on CBS.

The Road trails a headlining superstar on their journey to discover the next big artist with singers joining the headliner on tour, performing as opening acts in venues across the country. They will compete to win over local fanbases to secure a spot in the next city and remain on the tour. The headline superstar is not yet confirmed.

ITV Heads For ‘The Summit’

UK network ITV has ordered a local version of Banijay’s adventure reality series The Summit and will launch. a local version in 2025. Shine TV, part of Banijay UK, will produce the show, in which 14 strangers from all walks of life attempt to clip the rugged Alps of New Zealand’s South Island. The winner gets a prize of £200,000. Another Banijay label, Endemol Shine Australia, created the original version for Nine Network. Ben Shepherd will host the British version, which comes after commissions in Europe and the U.S., where a CBS version launched in late September. Paul Mortimer, ITV Director of Reality Commissioning and Acquisitions, and Amanda Stavri, ITV Commissioning Editor, Reality, ordered the show, which Matt Bennett and Mandy Morris will executive-produce. A jolly The Price is Right contestant won a vacation that left fans lost for words. The getaway was more enticing — and expensive — than the game show’s usual fare. And it was doled out by a surprise fellow CBS host in a winning TV crossover. In a clip from a recent episode shared by Tpir’s YouTube on Thursday (November 7), Drew Carey called on the sweet-as-could-be Linda from South Carolina to play the Cliff Hangers game. Cliff Hangers entails a hand-painted aluminum mountain climber who climbs up a mountain based on how far the contestant misses the prize’s price, and missing it by too many causes the mountain climber to plummet to his doom. Carey revealed an “extra special treat” was in store. In honor of CBS’ new series The Summit, host Manu Bennett joined the show for a crossover to introduce a trip for two to New Zealand.

Banijay Group recorded revenue declines across its content division in the third quarter of 2024.

Banijay Entertainment, the company behind Peaky Blinders and MasterChef, posted sales of €688.9M ($743.6M), down 3.5% from €713.6M in Q3 last year.

Production revenues accounted for the €536.9M of this total, a decline of 9.2%. Distribution sales stood at €85.4M (down 8.4%), while live experience revenues totaled €66.6M (up 127.5%).

The quarterly declines were a trend across Banijay’s first nine months of trading in 2024. Production sales were down 7.7% to €1.63B year-on-year, while distribution sales fell 16.1% to €232.9M.

Banijay blamed lower production revenues on “seasonality” and the phasing of shows, pointing out that it will deliver “major” scripted series in Q4 that will grow revenue for the year.
