Incorporating more than 100 hours of unreleased recorded interviews with Charles Manson, Making Manson — the three-part docuseries chronicling the serial killer’s early adolescence to his final days in prison — will premiere via Peacock on Nov. 19. In the new trailer for the docuseries released Wednesday, Manson offers chilling insight on his relentless killing sprees.

“There’s a whole part of my life that nobody knows about,” Manson said in recorded audio featured in the trailer. “I’d murder everybody I could. I’d kill you all if I had the chance.

The Saw 10-Film Collection 20th Anniversary Edition will be released on March 5, 2024, to commemorate the franchise's 20th anniversary. Saw X, the latest installment, brings back Tobin Bell as John Kramer and explores the untold chapter of his most personal game. Saw XI is now in development and slated for release on September 27, 2024.

Voltage Pictures arrives at the Efm with international sales rights to upcoming horror feature The Call, which stars the Saw franchise’s Tobin Bell and Lin Shaye from the Insidious films.

Following The Orchard’s theatrical and digital release, Netflix will be releasing the film on its worldwide streaming platform.

The Duplass enerothers have become so synonymous with a certain strain of warmed over indie dramedy that it’s easy to overlook just how twisted they can be, and often are. Directorial efforts like “Baghead” and “Cyrus” have been sliced through with genuinely disturbing behavior, and many of the movies they’ve produced or presented (e.g. “Tangerine” or “The Overnight”) have pushed boundaries of one kind or another, albeit it with such a gentle touch that these transgressions seem as natural as breathing. It’s a helpful way of reframing the modesty of their work and the speed at which they churn it out — it’s not that the Duplai prioritize quantity over quality, but rather that their kooky ideas (and those of the filmmakers they’re eager to support) are too dangerously delicate to support anything bigger than a micro-budget project that’s shot in nine days and destined for VOD.

Principal photography has kicked off in La for the thriller The Deep End from Citizen Skull Production's.

The cast appears to be a killer one, which includes Nora-Jane Noone from the Oscar Nominated Brooklyn and horror hit The Decent, Alexandra Park from the E! Show's The Royals, Tobin Bell from the Saw films and television and movie actress Diane Farr.

The upcoming thriller is being directed by Matt Eskandari. Eskandari previously directed Victim a psychological thriller released by IFC Midnight and the recent movie Game of Assassins for Lionsgate starring Bai Ling. The Deep End was written by Eskandari and Michael Hultquist.

Mark Myers’ film and television company has set a January start in and around Los Angeles on Matt Eskandari’s thriller.

Eskandari (pictured) and Michael Hultquis co-wrote The Deep End, about two sisters who become trapped under the fiberglass cover of a public pool.

Manson Family Vacation and Experimenter executive producer Myers will be overseeing the production along with executive producers Fernando Szew, Sharon Bordas and Hannah Pillemer.

Eskandari directed IFC Midnight feature Victim and Lionsgate’s Game Of Assassins. He is represented by Gerry Pass of Chrome Artists and Hultquist with Zero Gravity, who helped broker the deal.

Davis and sat down with TheWrap to discuss the indie comedy, which debuted Friday on Netflix following its SXSW premiere earlier this year. Duplass plays a family man whose oddball brother (Phillips) comes to visit with the goal of visiting famous landmarks related to Charles Manson. October on Netflix brings "Beasts of No Nation," starring Idris Elba as a ruthless African warlord who trains child soldiers. Directed by Cary Fukunaga ("True Detective"), it debuts on Netflix and in theaters on October 16.

Opening on August 28th is director Craig Zobel’s Z For Zachariah. In the wake of a nuclear war, a young woman survives on her own, fearing she may actually be the proverbial last woman on earth, until she discovers the most astonishing sight of her life: another human being. A distraught scientist, he’s nearly been driven mad by radiation exposure and his desperate search for others. A fragile, imperative strand of trust connects them. But when a stranger enters the valley, their precarious bond begins to unravel. The film stars Margot Robbie, Chris Pine, and Chiwetel Ejiofor.

Having its initial screening at the Sundance Film Festival in January, Sasha Bronner of the Huffington Post wrote, “Zobel balances danger, suspense and the more delicate nuances of love expertly, leaving us unsure of both the threats outside the house as well as the danger within.”

Varèse Sarabande will release the Z For Zachariah – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack digitally August 28 and on CD on September 4, 2015.

The album features the original music composed by Heather McIntosh (Compliance, Manson Family Vacation).

“This is my second time working with Craig Zobel, so our director-composer language is pretty well developed,” explained McIntosh. “With our last collaboration [Compliance], the ensemble was super minimal, super biting, but minimal. This time we wanted to push ourselves with the score and it’s thematic development. Really go for it, you know? Though it is a chamber work, we wanted the sound to be full and orchestral.”

McIntosh had the opportunity to write for organ in a scene where Margot Robbie’s character plays the instrument on screen. “We knew that we needed to get the tone of this right. It needed to feel like a timeless hymn and also be a defining theme for Ann.

The Michael Powell Award for Best British Feature Film goes to Andrew Haigh’s 45 Years.

The Michael Powell Award for Best British Feature Film at the 69th Edinburgh International Film Festival has gone to Andrew Haigh’s 45 Years, which received its UK premiere at the festival.

The film follows an eldery married couple (Charlotte Rampling and Tom Courtenay) in the five days leading up to their forty-fifth wedding anniversary. After the body of the husband’s first love is discovered, frozen and preserved in the icy glaciers of the Swiss Alps, their relationship becomes strained.

The award for Best Performance in a British Feature Film was shared between James Cosmo for his performance in The Pyramid Texts and Charlotte Rampling for her performance in 45 Years.

The Michael Powell Jury, which also awarded the main acting prize, was chaired by La Times film critic Kenneth Turan.

In a significant statement of its ambitions to forge ties with a stable of regular collaborators, the distributor has closed a deal with Duplass Brothers Productions on worldwide theatrical and ancillary rights to seven titles.

Horror comedy Creep will be the first to go and like the other six titles – four of which have not started production – the deal falls within the ambit of Duplass Brothers Productions’ exclusive Svod arrangement with Netflix signed in January.

The Orchard gets worldwide theatrical, digital rental and sales, cable/satellite VOD, airline, DVD and soundtrack rights.

Creep will launch exclusively on iTunes on Tuesday (23) and stars Mark Duplass and Patrick Brice, who also directed and previously directed The Overnight, which The Orchard released theatrically last Friday. Creep was co-produced by Jason Blum at Blumhouse.

The other titles include Hannah Fidell’s drama 6 Years (pictured) starring Taissa Farmiga and Ben Rosenfield and J Davis’ comedy drama Manson Family Vacation with Jay Duplass.

A little over one month away, the Fantasia Film Festival announced it’s second wave of titles this morning. Fantasia Film Festival holds a special place in the hearts of Sound on Sight and we could not be more excited for their upcoming edition which promises to be bigger and better than ever. Arguably the largest genre film festival in the world, Fantasia will run from July 14th to August 4th this year and feature a large number of world and international premieres. Takeshi Kitano’s Ryuzo and the Seven Henchmen, Sonny Mallhi’s Anguish, Ringo Lam’s Wild City and Miguel Angel Vivas’ Extinction among titles playing at Montreal’s genre film festival.

Fantasia International Film Festival has unveiled the second wave of titles for its upcoming 19th edition, taking place in Montreal from July 14-Aug 4.

Takeshi Kitano’s Ryuzo and the Seven Henchmen will receive its international premiere at this year’s event, while the festival will also host the world premieres of Sonny Mallhi’s Anguish, David Keating’s Cherry Tree, Jacob Gentry’s Synchronicity, Victor Zarcoff’s Slumlord and Bite from Chad Archibald and the team behind Anti-Social.
