An Ode to amazing story writing, technical excellence and groundbreaking perfornances

Yes. This story based on true events (75% of what happens is true), has all the perfect timings, jokes and charectarization taken care of up to a point which I rarely see in series. The Argentinian/Spanish/Uruguayan cultures are so well mixed and put into consideration that I have never seen a better way to represent such countries. Alan Sabbagh (Ariel) does such a great version of Casciari (the real person) and Rita Cortese is one of the best actresses we have, no matter how big or small her role is. The locations, the rythm of the editing, the sound editing and design, is everything so seemlessly combined that you forget that you are watching a series, you are watching a very cool documentary. I give it 9 stars just because I didn't quite like the technical application of the talking heads parts and the music. Obviously subjective. Great job and congratulationa to everyone involved in this series.

A fat guy, an empowered woman, a billionaire, and a couple who love each other and overcome their problems. Do you need anything else...?

A simple story, excellently told by a superb writer. The story doesn't represent the original story written by Hernán Casciari 100%, but it's very well adapted for television.

You can notice the changes made for it to be on Disney, but I think it turned out well. I would have liked a bit more depth and a bit more time to better handle the pacing, but I think the director did an excellent job with what they had available. The performances are very good (not excellent) as are the story and direction.

And any story where a "loser" wins the love of the "pretty girl" is a recipe for guaranteed success.

My opinion: "Highly recommended!"
