I was immediately gripped within the first few minutes of viewing as I could resonate with a lot from the outset; being a mother, feeling overwrought and the highs and lows of being a parent. The characters were compelling enough and I really wanted to know more about them.
I've always enjoyed Jo Joyner's work and although I'm familiar with Diane Kruger's name and face, I was not familiar with her work so I was intrigued. I thought it was a win-win binge watching this one afternoon.
There were a few creative choices I was unsure about without giving too much away. All I will say is that I don't think they added more to the plot device but rather slowed it down affecting the overall pace. It did feel like they spent far too much time focusing on the surplus pieces of narrative that when it became time to reveal the poignant, most significant part(S) it was all stuffed into the last 20 minutes of the series which made things rather infuriat. Personally, that was a bit of a letdown. There were also far too many plot holes that became irksome towards the end.
All in all, it was a decent series, there was just something missing that could have made it better.

Really enjoyed this series which we binged in 2 days.
A lot of familiar b (or c) list British actors with familiar faces here (as it was, the leading actress was the one I knew the least) and a great script which kept me intrigued throughout despite the characters who are somewhat younger than me (except Andrew, thd actor of whom I share s birthday with in real life - but j am still 5 years older than him) and I don't have children so, although actions and decisions didn't entirely resonate with me, it was still most compelling.
Only the conclusion let me down as it seems you can leave your kids unattended without reprimand from the authorities and a child's testament wouldn't stand up in court.
Apart from that and a title which could have been better, it was a good watch.
Much better than the awful dramas Jo Joyner does on Channel 5.

Wow I Thought this series was amazing . I Was gripped from the start .I Watched the whole thing in one night , and I would highly recommend especially because it touches on postpartum depression and ocd which I don't think is talked about enough . Loved all the characters and I thought Diane Kruger gave an outstanding performance along with Jo Joyner . Makes you think how quickly things can escalate and people can judge you for being a new mum .i love jo Joyner anyway and watch most of her dramas . Have recommended to all my family and friends to watch this fab drama, can't wait for more by the same writers .
