Graphics/Style
There's not much to say about it. At times, it looks a bit blurry, but overall, it kind of reminds me of Borderlands with its cartoony style. It has a similar vibe.
Gameplay It's a 5v5 shooter. The same setup as Valorant or CS: attack and defense, two bomb sites, and the objective is either to eliminate the enemy team or defuse the bomb. However, the main unique feature here is "Fragments."
Each round, your team and the enemy team get access to three passive upgrades. You can pick one, two, or all three. But what do they actually do in a match?
Examples:
A fragment that makes your bullets heal teammates.
A fragment that makes enemy heads twice as big in the next round.
A fragment that removes one of the bomb sites for that round.
The key thing to remember is that every round brings new fragments, and there are 164 in total! So, it never gets boring.
Characters/Abilities At launch, there are 12 characters, with 5 available for free. Each one has three abilities, similar to Valorant, but without any ultimate skills. Some throw drones, others place traps, grenades, or smoke screens. There are only 12 characters, and some abilities repeat across different ones, but it doesn't ruin the gameplay.
I'll highlight just one character since covering all of them doesn't make sense.
Cham - visually, he's a robot fisherman with a pet robo-piranha. What can he do?
Throws a piranha. If it detects an enemy, it will chase them and deal damage.
Places a trap. If an enemy steps into it, they take damage and get stunned. But here's the twist - you can attach the trap to the piranha and release it. In this case, instead of biting the enemy, the fish explodes.
Smoke grenade - explodes on impact and creates a small smoke screen that lasts a full minute. But here's the crazy part - you can attach the smoke grenade to the piranha! When it runs, instead of a small smoke area, it creates a massive smoke wall.
Music/Sound Design The music is solid, a mix of electro-rock and simple techno. No complaints about gun sounds, voice lines, or general audio, but the footstep audio is a disaster. It's impossible to figure out where enemies are based on sound. Footsteps always have an echo, no matter if you're indoors or outside.
Monetization When I first launched the game, I thought I had mistaken it for some mobile cash grab, with ads, microtransactions, and a paid subscription shoved in my face. The game has been out for less than a week, and it already has weapon skins and tons of monetization. That being said, there are also plenty of free rewards.
Conclusion The game is pretty fun. If you're tired of other shooters, you can definitely sink some time into it.
