We see a side to Izzy we never saw with him in Flip or Flop which is nice to see and refreshing. The strong influence of small family business is effective and seems genuine.
Izzy and his brother showcase their contracting skills and Izzy's wife impresses with her vision and ability to design on a dime. The two step-children might be the heart of the show and both seem genuine.
Episode one did not seem as good as episode two, which really came together for me and underscored what this show wants to and can be about.
I don't know if these first two episodes were a trial balloon but I sure hope HGTV keeps it going. A cut above most of the competition.

Izzy, his brother, his wife and his step kids contribute to build and remodel homes with an affordable budget.
Tarek El Moussa stops by to give Izzy his real estate advice, it's just fitting cause Izzy worked for Tarek and Christina for years.
The show is a little different than other HGTV shows, it feels more current and intimate and they are proud of their Hispanic heritage.
The entire family looks happy to work together and make The Battres company succeed in a very competitive business in Santa Ana. California
This first episode sets the tone for the rest of the series, family oriented, budget conscious and not so cookie cutter. I give it 8 out of 10.

"Izzy Does It" on HGTV is a fantastic home renovation show that perfectly blends authenticity, family values, and budget-friendly transformations. One of the highlights is Izzy's strong work ethic, which is evident in every project. His dedication to craftsmanship and problem-solving makes the show both engaging and inspiring. Equally impressive is his wife's incredible design talent-her vision brings warmth, style, and functionality to each space while keeping everything realistic and attainable for homeowners. Their teamwork and genuine passion for helping families create beautiful, livable homes make the show stand out. It's refreshing to see a show that prioritizes hard work, thoughtful design, and a relatable approach to home improvement. Whether tackling a big renovation challenge or incorporating creative solutions within a budget, Izzy and his wife make every project feel meaningful and achievable. HGTV needs to keep this show!!!
So good to see Izzy doing so well. This show is very entertaining especially with his lovely family. Love it! I always liked him on Flip or Flop. He is so kind, so patient and such a gentleman. I hope he has continued success and that his children carry the torch of his legacy far into their future families. Him and his wife are just adorable! It is easy to see the love they have and the respectful way in which they interact with each other. She has the skills an eye for design and Izzy surprised me with his retained decor skills from all of his years of working with House flippers. He has done well for his family.
Izzy seems to be a terrific builder, however, the design work is bad. I know it's his wife, but she is not a designer. I watched every single episode to give this a chance, but it is so boring. The son needs to go work for another contractor and MATURE, need I say more. There is not a chance that I would ever contract with the entire family because it's the lack of design and choices. There was not a single item that I could possibly consider having in my home or even a home that I would consider purchasing and KEEP. She seems like a lovely woman, but she would truly benefit from working with a few high end designers to get out of her own way of boring, basic, design choices. Nothing, on any episode could be considered "high end". And can I add that sliding glass doors scream BASIC, builder grade. French doors will ALWAYS elevate when you don't have the space or money for wide accordion doors! LOSE the sliders!!!
