Eiji Kitahama is a second year high school wishes he was more popular. One day he befriends Rin Nanakura, a girl a year below him who is in the drama club with him. She decides that she can give him a harem of female friends all by herself; this entails acting a number of standard anime archetypes. Inevitably over the course of the series they grow closer
I thought this series was rather fun in a sweet way. The harem has been an anime cliché for some time but this series takes an old trope and does something new with it. The characters are charming and Rin's varied personas are great to watch... while each is different we never forget that she is acting. The character designs and animation are of a high quality. Overall I'd definitely recommend this to fans of the genre.

One of the very few anime that has completed its due. The storyline may not be to deep but as a slice of life anime, it hits the spot. Waaay better than many other available in the genre with a good understanding and progression. Yes, the plot is a bit fast paced with it terminating in simply 12 episodes, but well worth the watch.
The way that the author has completed the entire story in a way that it shows the character themselves, the flow of animation, simply being able to relate to it without the overbearing characteristics that many in the genre seem to have makes it a great anime.
I do regret that the pacing was a bit on the quick end and ended in a single run, but don't miss on this one.

This was easily one of my favourite animes this season.
I mean yes, it is a rom-com so it's cute and wholesome. But what made it so special was the main couple, Rin and Eiji. The dynamic between them really feels special because it feels one of a kind. It's one of those rare feelings while watching a romance show where the protagonists really feel like they are just made for each other.
Here, both Rin and Eiji are dorky and they have these little inside jokes that only they would understand or only they would find funny. Seriously, when they're with each other, they can't last for 2 minutes without laughing at the most random, childish joke that they make on the spot. And everyone else would just wonder "what are they laughing about?" lol. The 'Pseudo Harem' scenario is just one of those jokes, where Rin enacts different personalities around Eiji to make him feel like he's popular. It's like, when they're with each other, they're in their own little world. And there's just something about their interactions that feels very innocent and wholesome.
The dynamic between the main couple is pretty much the core of this anime. But what also surprised me was the romance progression. This anime adapts the whole manga and the pacing of the romance progression feels pretty much perfect. I loved how the staff portrayed some of the major moments of the story during the second half (that's all I can say without spoiling). And the conclusion is as satisfying as it should have been for this story.
The animation is nice (it especially feels very good compared to some of the other shows that aired this season). The direction is good too, especially in the second half. The voice acting by both Hayami Saori and Okamoto Nobuhiko is brilliant and it's one of the main reasons why this anime was so good.
Overall, I loved this and as a romance anime, it really feels one of a kind.

Giji Harem left me unimpressed. As a romance anime fan, I expected more. The premise: girl crushes on senpai, they fall in love, confess, and marry. Sounds cute, but execution falls flat.
95% of screen time is Eiji and Rin's conversations. I nearly dropped it by episode 5, but Rin's multiple personalities (tsundere, cute, cool, devil) kept me going.
Lack of character development, conflict, and emotional connection makes it forgettable. No real obstacles or challenges in their relationship.
Pros:
Cons:
Recommendation: Only for die-hard romance fans.
