The huge success of Stephen King's It this year means that movie studios are mining King's old material to try to find more gold. In 2019, Paramount will give Pet Semetary a try. The movie will be an adaptation of King's 1983 novel and a remake of a 1989 film version of the story. The original film wasn't much of a hit, either financially or critically, but Paramount is hoping that movie-goers are hungry for anything with King's name on it right now. They might, however, want to consider the box-office failure of this year's The Dark Tower.

The holiday weekend got started very early, and the Pixar animated family film Coco was on top of it. The movie earned strong ticket sales in Tuesday previews, setting it up for a solid five-day holiday take. Justice League outperformed Coco on Tuesday, but it's almost certain to give up the weekend as a whole to the animated film.

Coco has a lot to be thankful for, as it grossed $2.3 million in Tuesday-night previews.

The animated movie from Pixar and Disney, about the Mexican holiday Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead), opens on Wednesday in 3,948 theaters, including nearly 2,800 3D locations over and 268 screens offering the film in Spanish. Over its five-day Thanksgiving weekend debut, it is expected to earn $55 million to $60 million domestically, though there's plenty of room for upside.

Kendall Jenner is the top-earning model of 2017! The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star was just named the highest-earning model in the world by Forbes. To secure the top spot on the list, the 22-year-old beat out Gisele Bündchen, who had been No. 1 on the list every year since 2002. Jenner made an incredible $22 million this year, while Bündchen earned an equally impressive $17.5 million. Teasers for games can be hit or miss with cinematics being confused for actual gameplay. But when I see something that says actual gameplay, and it looks good, well you have my attention now.

Well that looks alright there. I think my main draw is the designs seem to combine the comic and movie looks. Coming in at #7 was Don Hertzfeldt’s “World of Tomorrow,” an animated short film about a young girl and her older clone on a journey through the girl’s memory. The existential story may only last 17 minutes, but Hertzfeldt’s ideas stay with you pretty much forever. It's hard to gauge who the most popular star in the world is, and by all accounts, that person is probably from India, not Hollywood. But there is no denying that Brad Pitt is one of the biggest names on the planet. And you'd expect that he'd turn more of a profit at the box office. But as it turns out, a new study shows he's the least profitable star in Hollywood.

He's not alone. A few other big name actors failed to turn a pretty penny when it came to their movies over the last thirty years. Analysts from PartyCasino, a unit of the Gvc gaming group, have done an intensive break down and study, which proves that Brad Pitt only brings in ten cents for every dollar spent on one of his movies. Coming in behind him is Johnny Depp, who only manages to pull in twenty cents for every dollar.

Bob's Burgers has been one of the bright spots on the Fox network schedule since 2011, and the series began its eighth season at the beginning of this month. It's been nominated for seven consecutive Emmys for best animated series, and it's won the award twice. That's all good news for fans of the show, but the best news ever broke this week when it was revealed that Fox is developing a feature-length movie based on the series. We don't know much about the project yet, except that it's due out in the summer of 2020.

It’s a brave new world; it was only a matter of time before we got a brave new “Heathers.” The cult classic that inspired a generation of teenage slackers and weirdos is getting a television reboot, and it’s switching things up quite a lot from the looks of this first teaser released on Instagram, where all the aspiring Heathers hang out these days.

The original “Heathers” starred Winona Ryder and Christian Slater as kindred spirits who team up to take down the popular girls, who are all named Heather. Released in 1988, the movie’s pitch black comedy and dry humor stood out against the more wholesome losers of John Hughes’ high school comedies. In the reboot, the central trio has been updated to include a genderqueer person named Heath (Brendan Scannell), a black lesbian (Jasmine Mathews) and an overweight girl (Melanie Field).
