The head of a multi-billion Korean construction company hires a new, top-notch chief for the auditing department to get rid of corruption.
Buuuut....nothing is as it seems.
Good guys turn out to be evil, evil guys turn out to be actually good, there are a lot of hidden agendas inside the company and a lot of dark things going on behind the scenes.
But the new auditor-in-chief is not swayed by that or by threats and multiple attempts to stop him and his team.
There is a main, thrilling story-arch reaching its climax in the last episode, but the auditors have to solve many other cases along the way.
It is like a detective show where the auditor-in-chief is Sherlock Holmes and his team are his Watsons and they solve a very difficult case each episode (sometimes a case take two episodes to solve too).
The cases are all very intelligent, suspenseful and keep you guessing, there are many twists and turns and surprises until they are being solved.
Behind all of it though lurks a dark mystery that has yet to be discovered.
It is a big surprise who turns out to be the shadowy bad guy at the end of the main story arch, and why and how he or she did all the evil things.
"The Auditors" is intelligent and suspenseful entertainment with a great cast, a great script and great directing.
Highly recommended.
The best thing happens at the very end of the last episode (NO spoiler ahead) when there is a hint there may be a second season.
Can't wait for it!

At first I did not know whether to watch "The Auditors".
A series about auditors (you know the boring guys who check boring numbers) in some company did not seem very exciting.
But I like the lead actor so I gave it a try.
And I was hooked from the first episode.
If anyone can make an entertaining, funny and yet thrilling show about auditors, it is the Koreans.
I am often amazed how versaitile and creative there cinema and TV is.
This is no exception.
I don't want to spoil anything for you, so just give the show a try, like I did, and you won't be disappointed.
10 stars out 10 from me for 12 fantastic episodes!

I love kdramas such as this. Sure I love romcom, but I thought of trying a different one. So watching a different genre that's actually beyond great is very satisfying. You never know how awesome a kdrama especially not having "big stars" in the cast unless you give it a try. I'm really glad that I did. This is my first time rating anydramas or movies ever and I felt like doing this now cuz this might be a good way of them hearing me for Season 2. Hope a lot of people will give this a good rating because they love it too and I hope they can hear our request for Season 2. I really wanna continue watching this. More of this type of genre please.
If you're here to check reviews before watching this, while I appreciate this so much personally all I can say is give it a try. So you can see for yourself.

Gu Han Soo is the most unrealistic character ever, and this character was the main reason, the show failed to make an impression on me. If I was interested in Fantasy, I would choose something of that genre, I most certainly wouldn't be choosing The Auditors. Whoever wrote the show is certainly not a very social member of the society, because in no society would there be middle class son acting out like this. This show had lots of potential, alas only if this character was fired at the start of the show. And the actor who played the character was also ( I am sorry to say this but) terrible, I don't know who told him to play the disney princess. Give me 'the pick me girl' energy, all through out the show.
Shin Ha Kyun's performance as Sin Ca Il in "The Auditors" is nothing short of phenomenal! He embodies the character's strength, determination, and unwavering justice with such raw power and authenticity that you're completely drawn into the world of the drama. His portrayal is so captivating, you can't help but feel every emotion alongside Sin Ca Il, making the journey both thrilling and deeply moving.
I'm still reeling from that finale! Shin Ha-kyun, you are a freaking legend! Sin Ca Il was so intense and powerful, I was glued to the screen the entire time. You made me feel every emotion, from anger to sadness to hope. You truly brought the character to life, and I'm so grateful for your amazing performance.
He truly deserves every award for this incredible performance!
Lee Jung-ha, you were so good! I loved your character, and you played her with such depth and nuance. Your chemistry with Shin Ha-kyun was off the charts, and I was rooting for you two the whole time.
Jin Goo, you were a total bad-ass! Your character was so complex and intriguing, and you played him to perfection. You were so believable as both a villain and a victim, and I was constantly on edge wondering what you were going to do next.
Jo A-ram, you were a breath of fresh air! Your character was so strong and independent, and you played her with such grace and confidence. I loved your scenes with Shin Ha-kyun, and your chemistry was electric.
The whole cast was phenomenal, and I was so impressed with the writing and directing. "The Auditors" was a rollercoaster of emotions, and I can't wait to see what these actors do next!
