Can We Get Married?

1 review
9/10

Funny and realistic - ahead of its time

This 20 episode family drama from 2012 is realistic and completely absorbing. It deals with practical things like money issues and wedding preparations that surprisingly are very interesting. The laugh out loud comedy comes from the funniest most terrible behaviour of the mother in laws to be played by the brilliant Lee Mi Sook and Sunwoo Eun Sook. The young couple played by Sung Joon and Jung So Min is likeable. Unlike some of the unrealistic prim shows of today there are pre marital relations shown. The divorce of the sister and her cheating husband is captivating and real. Not over the top like World of the Married. Like the way they show the inner voices of the characters and teaches us to see things from both sides. The cheater and the cheated on, the richer and the poorer, the viewer really gets to see and unbiased perspective of all sides. This show doesn't drag and will entertain from start to finish. Required viewing for anyone getting married.
