Today’s an exciting day for fans of one of Hololive’s brightest stars. Hoshimachi Suisei, the talented virtual anime idol, is releasing a new lineup of limited-edition merchandise.

Hyte, the highly regarded PC accessory maker, is collaborating with the most popular VTuber agency worldwide to create a new line of merchandise based on Hoshimachi Suisei. Initially an independent VTuber under Hololive’s parent company, Cover Corp, before transferring to the VTuber agency, Suisei has entertained viewers online and in-person with her musical performances since 2019. Suisei and other Hololive talents across the globe recently performed live at Hololive Super Expo 2025 and Hololive 6th fes. Color Rise Harmony in early March. The star-studded event was sponsored by Hyte, who have created gorgeous products based on Hololive stars in the past, such as Amane Kanata, Tsunomaki Watame, Tokoyami Towa and Himemori Luna.

A-1 Pictures' popular Solo Leveling picks up a rather nice accolade before Season 2 premieres this January as MyAnimeList data crowns it 2024's most popular anime.

The popular anime database and tracker MyAnimeList revealed its most popular anime of 2024. MyAnimeList allows users to add a series to their account to indicate their current watch progress -- while these can include members who plan to watch the series but have not yet, this is generally negligible and can be discarded. Unsurprisingly, Solo Leveling Season 1 was the most popular anime of 2024, leading Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc in second by a massive 246k member lead. It led Dandadan in third by 271k. Asmr stands for autonomous sensory meridian response. The term describes audio that delivers a tingling sensation to the listener through soft speaking or ambient noises. Asmr aims to calm the listener by relieving stress and reducing anxiety or helping lull them to sleep, although some talents also engage in somewhat more flirtatious content.

Crunchyroll is about to make a big splash at this year's San Diego Comic-Con in California. The massively popular anime streaming service is ushering in a brand-new makeover of its brand and service, with more yet in store.

Crunchyroll revealed its bold new look via a press release and new promotional video on its official YouTube account. According to the anime streaming giant, "the new look, feel, and sound of Crunchyroll reflects the joy that anime brings fans worldwide and is focused on an ethos of fun and celebration." The official rollout of the new and improved Crunchyroll is set for July 25, coinciding with San Diego Comic-Con 2024. The four-day event will take place at the San Diego Convention Center in California.
