Heist-Themed Gameshow ‘The Infiltrators’ Set For International Rollout Through Banijay Entertainment
Exclusive: Content creators posing as mastermind thieves: That’s the concept behind Banijay Entertainment’s latest format acquisition.
The Infiltrators is a gameshow in which contestants seek to infiltrate an eccentric billionaire’s home and navigate its complex security system through a series a weird and wild challenges. The series first launched on Channel 4 social media network Channel 4.0.
“Mystery gameplay remains hot,” said Banijay Entertainment Head of Acquisitions Helen Greatorex. “It started when we all started doing escape rooms years ago, and it has become a way of life to people who want different game play, and that moved into entertainment and television. We are always looking for what’s going to happen next, but for now we know there is still an appetite for the mystery genre and it doesn’t seem to be changing.”
Banijay has acquired the format rights from Cowshed Studios, the production arm of creative agency Cowshed Collective.

Have you been looking for your next reality TV binge? Then you may want to check out The Fortune Hotel, a new competition series that’s just landed on ITV. Twenty contestants have flown out to a beautiful resort in the Caribbean, where a high-stakes game of chance and detection is underway. But there’s more than sun, sand, and salsa dancing at stake—the winner will walk away a quarter of a million pounds richer.
The premise is twisty but engaging. Each couple is randomly assigned a silver suitcase upon arrival. Secretly stashed inside just one of them is a life-changing cash reward. The others either hold nothing at all or harbor an “early checkout ticket” that sends the unlucky holders home. Over the course of the episodes, the pairs will get opportunities to swap cases in the hope of improving their fortunes. With strategic swaps and suspicious side-eyes at the cocktail bar,...

Call it a cynical copy of The Traitors all you like, but The Fortune Hotel makes for entertaining reality game fluff. In it, couples stay in a luxury resort in the Caribbean where each day they must compete in a physical challenge and an indoor “room service” challenge to win better odds in the game of pass-the-parcel that is part of the elimination process in the Lady Luck Bar. Information is power, allegiances are key and if you’re good in a dinghy you’ve got an advantage.
Presenter Stephen Mangan is no Claudia Winkleman but he’s charming and affable.
The show airs every evening Monday-Thursday and Thursday’s ep ended with quite the cliffhanger. Secrets and lies are about to be exposed and one of the favourite couples is about to be sent home, smashing the competition wide open. There’s no new ep til monday so here...
